    摘要: An ultrasonic transmitter apparatus is configured to transmit an ultrasonic signal that communicates a binary identifier. The apparatus includes an ultrasound transmission system and is configured to transmit an ultrasonic signal that communicates the binary identifier according to an encoding in which each bit position in the binary identifier is associated with a respective pair of frequencies and with respective first and second time positions in the ultrasonic signal. The value of the bit position in the binary identifier determines which frequency of the pair of frequencies is transmitted at the first respective time position in the ultrasonic signal, with the other frequency of the pair of frequencies being transmitted at the second respective time position in the ultrasonic signal.

    摘要: A robotic mapping and tracking system including a robot and boundary posts are disclosed. The robot includes an ultrasonic transmitter, a processor and a camera component. The boundary posts are configured to be placed adjacent to a boundary of a working region. Each boundary post of the plurality of boundary posts includes an ultrasonic receiver. Time-of-flights of the ultrasonic waves are measured to identify distances in between the robot and boundary posts. The camera component of the robot captures an image of an environment of the robot. The processor of the robot analyzes the image of the environment and identifies at least a portion of the working region in front of the robot from the image. The processor of the robot determines a moving route based on the identified portion of the working region in front of the robot and the distances in between the robot and the boundary posts.

    摘要: A tracking method includes displaying visual content on a screen of a head mounted display (HMD). One or more base stations may be stationary with respect to the screen while the visual content is being displayed. In contrast, one or more objects may move with respect to the screen while the visual content is being displayed. Time-difference-of-arrival (TDoA) and/or time-of-flight (ToF) may be measured for one or more ultrasonic pulses transmitted from the base station, one or more objects, or HMD. Position and orientation of the objects and HMD may be calculated based on the TDoA and ToF. Different frequencies of pulses may be used to locate the HMD and the objects. An electromagnetic synchronization signal from the HMD and/or base station may be used to measure TDoA. Position and orientation measurements may be fused with outputs from IMUS (inertial measurement units) to reduce jitter.

    摘要: A target receives two signals of different modes in association with a first location and another two signals in association with a second location. The first two signals are assumed to have been emitted effectively simultaneously from the first location, and the second two signals are assumed to have been emitted effectively simultaneously from the second location. A first distance is calculated in view of a receipt time difference of the first two signals in view of differing rates of propagation assumed between these two signals; a second distance is calculated in view of another receipt time difference of these second two signals in view of differing rates of propagation assumed between each of these other signals. A possible location of the target is then calculated in view of the first distance and its associated first location and the second distance and its associated second location.

    摘要: A system and method for determining a presence of a mobile device located in a predetermined detection zone within a vehicle may include a plurality of transmitters located within the vehicle, in which each of the plurality of transmitters is configured to transmit an acoustic signal into an acoustic environment within the vehicle, and in which each of the acoustic signals comprises at least one ultrasonic pulse, a mobile device configured to periodically record sounds in the acoustic environment, and a processor configured to determine that a periodically recorded sound by the mobile device comprises each of the acoustic signals transmitted by the plurality of transmitters, determine a location of the mobile device within the vehicle based on the acoustic signals recorded by the mobile device, and determine that the location of the mobile device matches the predetermined detection zone.
