The electronic device includes a module case including a first structure and a second structure having different deformation quantities, a first impact identification part formed between the first structure and the second structure and configured to generate a deformation according to the difference between the deformation quantities of the first and second structures at the time of applying the impact, and a second impact identification part that enables identification of whether the impact was applied based on the deformation of the first impact identification part.

摘要: A device and technique for impact detection includes a tube having a first fluid and a second fluid disposed therein, wherein a viscosity of the second fluid is greater than a viscosity of the first fluid, and wherein, responsive to a predetermined level of impact received by the impact indicator, at least a portion of the first fluid mixes into the second fluid to create a change in color of the second fluid to provide a visual indication of the received impact.

摘要: Apparatus for monitoring structures and structural members for overloads has an elongated frangible closed ended tube containing a dense, visible liquid. The tube includes a central reduced cross-sectional area for forming a weak portion thereof. The tube is enclosed in a transparent shield and the tube and shield resiliently attached to the structure to be monitored. The frangible tube is designed to cause the weakened area to fracture when the tube and structure are exposed to a preselected level of an acceleration force, causing the liquid to be deposited in the shield as an indication of an overload.

摘要: Systems and methods using fluid-filled hollow microspheres to assist in monitoring or indicating high-energy blunt impacts on structures such as aircraft. A multiplicity of microspheres may be adhered to or embedded in a coating applied on a surface of a substrate (e.g., a tape or an appliqué), which substrate in turn can be adhered to a surface of a structure to be monitored. The microspheres are designed to rupture at one or more specified pressure thresholds. In some embodiments, the microspheres are filled with electrically conductive fluid which, if released from ruptured microsphere, changes the electromagnetic state of the substrate. In response to the detection of a sufficiently large change in the electromagnetic state of the substrate, a blunt impact indication is generated. The impact site may then undergo non-destructive inspection.

摘要: An impact detection apparatus according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes first and second detection portion, and connection portion. First and second detection portion each include solution container, solution absorption portion, mount-surface portion, and exterior portion. Solution container is configured to store colored solution therein, and has outlet enabling colored solution to flow out when being subjected to pressing force. Solution absorption portion is capable of absorbing colored solution that has flowed out from the outlet. Exterior portion is disposed on mount-surface portion, forms, together with mount-surface portion therebetween, housing space housing solution container and solution absorption portion, and has transparent portion. When colored solution flows out from outlet of one of solution containers due to being subjected predetermined pressing force, colored solution is absorbed by one of solution absorption portions, and one of solution absorption portions colored by colored solution is visually recognized through transparent portion.

The status of the sensor can be read in various ways. In one embodiment the status is remotely readable.
