    摘要： A holder device for holding a recording paper roll includes a pair of holders. A first holder has a first fitting portion with an anti-slip device and a first engagement portion. The anti-slip device has two claw members for forward rotation symmetrically disposed each other with respect to a center of rotation of the recording paper roll, two claw members for backward rotation disposed likewise, and springs biasing each claw member to an engagement position. When the first holder rotates in a forward or backward direction, the claw members for forward rotation or for backward rotation move to the engagement positions, respectively, in order to prevent a slip of the recording paper roll. An edge of each claw member is tapered along an attachment direction of the recording paper for easy attachment.

    摘要： A print engine assembly includes a support for a micro-electromechanical pagewidth print head. A single motor is controlled to dispense print media from a cartridge that is fast with the print head support and, at the same time, drive an air pump to direct air across the print head in order to keep it clear of debris. An air filter is provided to filter the air prior to it entering the air pump. The air is distributed to the print head support through a conduit that is formed in a molding which is shaped to receive the air pump.

    摘要： A guide member is disposed between a thermal head and a conveyor roller pair. The guide member projects into a conveyance passage of a recording paper when a platen roller is separated from the thermal head. In this state, the guide member abuts on the recording paper having been forwarded by the conveyor roller pair. Further, the guide member guides the recording paper to feed it between the platen roller and the thermal head. When the platen roller is pressed against the thermal head, the guide member is pushed by support plates of the platen roller. The pushed guide member is lowered so that the guide member is evacuated from the conveyance passage of the recording paper.

    摘要： An environmentally insensitive device is described. The device uses a passive paper guide to direct an output paper stream from a paper source contained within the unit to an output aperture. The passive paper guide uses two opposing surfaces to define a radius of curvature through which the paper strip is guided. Use of longitudinal ridges along one or both of the surfaces reduces friction along the guide. By providing a rotatable output cover over the aperture and using a unit cover, a printed output can be achieved while maintaining the shielding of the unit from environmental effects.

The drum includes first and second journals and a plate mounted on the circumference of the first and second journals. At least one of the journals has defined on its circumference circumferential channels. The plate has interior and exterior sides, and the first and second journals and a portion of the plate's interior side define a chamber. The plate's exterior side has defined thereon a plurality of grooves. In one embodiment, at least one of the grooves, associated with a first film size, is in fluid communication with the chamber, and some of the remaining grooves, associated with the larger film sizes, are in fluid communication with the channels. A vacuum is supplied to the chamber, and a valve is provided for controlling fluid communication between the channels and the chamber.

    摘要： A recording apparatus including a recording device for recording line of images on a recording medium, and a feeding device having a stepping motor for feeding the recording medium in a feeding direction perpendicular to the recording lines. The apparatus has a signal generator for generating a timing pulse in timed relation with the start of recording of each recording line so that the recording of each line is started in response to the timing pulse. Further, the stepping motor is stepped to feed the recording medium from one line to another, in response to the timing pulse, such that the stepping of the motor from one excitation phase to the next produces an incremental feeding distance of the medium which is equal to 1/n of a line spacing of the recording lines, where n represents a positive natural number.
