Abstract: A pyrotechnic slug, intended to be used by bomb squads to neutralize explosive devices, comprising a hollow cylinder, having an internal space, and having a projectile body made of non-metallic material, the projectile body having a closed front end and an open back end receiving a slug plug, the internal space containing a mixture cavity holding a pyrotechnic mixture, which upon ignition and explosion thereof is configured to create a weak pressure wave, and the pyrotechnic slug having an operating system comprising at least one selected from a list including: a) a mechanical impact firing system; and b) a delayed operating system; wherein the pyrotechnic slug is configured to be propelled from a barrel by one of: a) a separate cartridge; b) a unified slug comprising the projectile body inserted into a cartridge; and c) a rocket motor.

Abstract: An impact or percussion detonator including a detonator cap which is piercable by a striker or firing pin actuated by a spring force from the rear end of the detonator, including a mechanical retarding or delay arrangement incorporating blocking members which, in their blocking position are located, on the one side, in recesses provided in the striker and on the other side, in recesses provided in a detonator component. The detonator component is constituted of an axially movable securing sleeve, and a recess which receives the blocking members is provided a base member fastened to a housing of the detonator at a distance in the direction towards detonating.

Abstract: A fuse provided with two striker-and-detonator systems, one of which operates upon impact against a target and may be manually locked against operation and the other operates only with a predetermined lag after impact. The first system is adapted to be brought in all cases into a ready-for-operation condition at the moment of the firing of the missile, in which condition the member carrying the detonator of the first system is brought within reach of the corresponding striker while it simultaneously releases a safety interceptor extending between the striker and detonator of the system operating with a lag.

Abstract: THE FUZE, E.G. Abstract: An ordnance fuze having a selector rotor and an arming rotor initially held in an unarmed position by a rod which can be released by the rotation of a wind vane to move clear of the arming rotor and thus free the arming rotor to rotate to an armed position. A timer revolves a plate to block the movement of the rod after a predetermined time lapse if the vane has not already released it, thus preventing the arming of the fuze. An externally operated control limits the movement of the rod to either permit or prevent rotation of the selector rotor to direct the blast of the primer to either an instantaneous detonator or a delay detonator.
