Abstract:
The invention relates to feeding a gas terminal with energy from a ship transporting liquefied gas while said liquefied gas is being transferred between a tank of the ship and a tank of the gas terminal, wherein a portion of the energy produced by the propulsion system of the ship is delivered to the gas terminal.
Abstract:
When a compressor apparatus is operated at a maximum displacement for 60 minutes or longer, an ECU controls a pressure control valve to gradually change the refrigerant pressure in a swash plate chamber in a manner that gradually reduces the displacement of the compressor apparatus. In this way, it is possible to create a state, in which a relatively large pressure difference is created between a refrigerant inlet side and the swash plate chamber. Thus, refrigerant oil accumulated in the swash plate chamber can be returned to the refrigerant inlet side of the compressor apparatus at the time of gradually reducing the displacement of the compressor apparatus.
Abstract:
A refrigeration system includes a first refrigeration chamber, a second refrigeration chamber in flow communication with said the first refrigeration chamber, a sealed system for producing desired temperature conditions in the first refrigeration chamber and the second refrigeration chamber, and a controller operatively coupled to the sealed system. The controller is configured to accept a plurality of user-selected inputs including at least a first refrigeration chamber temperature and a second refrigeration chamber temperature, and to execute a plurality of algorithms to selectively control the first refrigeration chamber at a temperature above the second refrigeration chamber and at a temperature below the second chamber. Various control algorithms are provided for maintaining desired temperature conditions in the refrigeration chambers.
Abstract:
A cryostat having a connecting branch which is connected to a coolant chamber and is open on the end side. The connecting branch expands from an inside diameter to an outside diameter.
Abstract:
A refrigerated vending machine for dispensing items (such as soda cans or other beverage containers) includes a power source and a cooling system (e.g., evaporator, condenser, compressor, circulating fan). Power control circuitry selectively provides electrically coupling of at least one component of the cooling system to the power source. A controller, operably coupled to the power control circuitry,is adapted to control the power control circuitry in a power-conserving mode of operation and in a normal-operation mode. The controller automatically transitions from the power-conserving mode to the normal-operation mode based upon an activity event signal. The activity event signal may be provided by an occupancy sensor that senses occupancy in the vicinity of the refrigerated appliance. Alternatively, the activity event signal may represent vending activity (e.g., money insertion). The controller automatically transitions from the normal-operation mode to the power conservation mode based upon a temperature signal provided by an internal temperature sensor and/or the ouput of the occupancy sensor. The power-conserving mode of operation and the normal-operation mode provide different internal temperature characteristics (e.g., varying temperature variance) within a chamber in the refrigerated appliance.
Abstract:
Cryostat having a connecting branch which is connected to a cooling chamber and is open on the end side, raised parts and/or depressions increasing the wall surface being provided on at least part of the inner wall of the connecting branch.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for controlling an air conditioner having a multi-compressor. The method comprises the steps of: first determining, in order to accomplish a set temperature after a user starts the air conditioner, a cooling load of a room by measuring an on-time for which at least two compressors are run, in a manner such that the more the on-time of the compressors is long, the more the cooling load of the room is judged to be large; and operating the air conditioner by changing a compressing capacity of the compressors in response to a first determined cooing load, in a manner such that, when the cooling load is large, the air conditioner is operated by a first combination of compressors, having a large compressing capacity, and, when the cooling load is small, the air conditioner is operated by a second combination of compressors, having a small compressing capacity.
Abstract:
A chiller includes a chilling compartment for receiving food products to be chilled and a chilling system for delivering chilled air to the chilling compartment during chilling operations. A controller effects operation of the chilling system and includes associated memory storing a plurality of food product data entries. Each food product data entry includes a food product name and at least one associated chilling operation setting for the food product. A user input device is associated with the controller. The controller is operable in conjunction with the user input device to permit a user to select a particular food product data entry such that the controller retrieves at least one chilling operation setting of the particular food product data entry for use in a subsequent chilling operation. The chiller may also include a label printing mechanism for printing chilling operation summary labels which can be applied to food product containers.
Abstract:
In a refrigerator using a evaporator, and particularly in an apparatus and a method for controlling a refrigerating cycle of a refrigerator which is capable of easily switching a three-way stepping motor valve, by adjusting a flow of a refrigerant in a refrigerating cycle by using a three-way stepping motor valve, noise occurred in the conventional valve switching can be reduced, a power consumption of a three-way stepping motor valve can be reduced.
Abstract:
Air conditioner for multiple rooms of a building having a network provided thereto including an outdoor unit, an outdoor unit controller for controlling operation of the outdoor unit, more than one indoor units, an indoor unit controller for controlling operation of the indoor units, and a main controller connected to the outdoor controller and the indoor controller through the network for receiving information on operation states and operation conditions of the outdoor unit and the indoor units, and controlling the outdoor unit controller and the indoor unit controller according to the information and a preset system algorithm, thereby permitting an easy installation of the air conditioner, and to save an installation cost, and an efficient and optimal air conditioning operation.
