    摘要: A portable enclosure is configured to mix room air with a controlled amount of exterior air via one or more flexible conduits disposed between the enclosure and an exterior window. At least one flexible conduit is connected to a barrier structure which is designed for sealable placement within the window. One or more mixing dampers are employed to control the amount of exterior air supplied to the enclosure. An air moving device delivers exterior air in controlled amounts to the enclosure which is designed to be moveable so that a more desirable (fresher, cooler, and more contaminant free) stream of air is deliverable to the personal space of an occupant to satisfy ventilation and temperature requirements.

    摘要: A humidifier, preferably for aircrafts, includes a humidifier device, an outlet fan as well as a heat exchanger and a heat exchanger fan. The humidifier device is provided with an intake for a mixture of non-humidified air and recirculated air as well as an outlet for the air mixture. A recirculation fan is placed in a recirculation loop between the outlet and the intake so that a portion of the air mixture should be recirculated back to the humidifier device. An aircraft can be equipped with such a humidifier and a humidifier method used in an aircraft.

In one example embodiment, a mechanical room is sized to simultaneously house most of the HVAC equipment but to also advantageously operate as the HVAC system's air mixing chamber for a wall-mounted temperature and humidity conditioning unit and a blower assembly, based on maximum heating and cooling loads and the minimally required air flow requirement for a defined living space. This advantage allows for elimination of one or more mechanical plenums for air mixing space as well as flexibility in locating HVAC components in the space provided.

    摘要: Examples described herein relate to adiabatic cooling units. For example, a method for mixing gases within an adiabatic cooling unit includes allowing a first gas at a first temperature to enter a mixing chamber on a non-exposed side of an adiabatic cooling media and utilizing a first baffle to direct the first gas in a direction away from the adiabatic cooling media. The method includes allowing a second gas at a second temperature to enter the mixing chamber on an exposed side of the adiabatic cooling media and allowing the first gas and the second gas to mix in the mixing chamber creating a mixed gas. The method also includes creating an inlet with the first baffle and a second baffle to direct the mixed gas away from the adiabatic cooling media and allowing the mixed gas to enter through the exposed side of the adiabatic cooling media.

    摘要: A mixer for mixing air flows is provided that can include an air duct, which has at least one hot air duct and one cold air duct, wherein an air flow through the hot air duct and through the cold air duct can be controlled by a respective mixing flap. A heating element is arranged in the hot air duct in order to heat the air passing through the hot air duct. Furthermore, the mixer can include a mixing chamber, which is connected to an air outlet side of the hot air duct and of the cold air duct of the air duct such as to enable fluid flow. The mixing chamber can have air guiding elements, which are arranged in such a way that air flowing out of an air outlet side of the hot air duct crosses air flowing out of an air outlet side of the cold air duct.
