    摘要: A vapor and termite barrier and method for use in concrete slab construction includes applying an elastomeric-seal fluid in a liquid state that cures into an elastomeric seal of all ground surface, reinforcement, conduits and concrete on a slab area. A method for applying the elastomeric-seal fluid is preferably spraying, but can include pouring, hosing and dumping. The elastomeric-seal fluid can include a mixture of germicide grade of chemical, such as boron, and a conventional product that is preferably white and has a consistency that is produced commercially for tops of house trailers and motor homes. Preventing runoff of the elastomeric-seal fluid before it cures into the elastomeric seal can be provided by a preparation step of eliminating excessive ground porosity and providing slab-area walls to a height necessary to contain the elastomeric-seal fluid at a rate that it is applied before it cures. Depth of the elastomeric-seal fluid can be ten to twenty mills, depending on consistency of the product. A highest preferred consistency of the product mixed with about one-fourth boron can be applied for a depth of about ten to twenty mills. Pouring concrete after applying the elastomeric-seal fluid and allowing it to cure for two-to-four hours, depending on weather and on product consistency, then can proceed more rapidly with less risk of damage to its protective barrier than for pouring concrete onto conventional plastic material.

The bonding of the layer of cardboard (3) of the first panel (A) to the layer of cardboard (4) of the second panel (B) forces the two panels to a permanent, stable, equilibrium of the respective opposite curving tensions.

The tile grout composition is a water-based epoxy grout composition which has excellent stain and chemical resistant properties and is workable and easy to clean up after grouting the tiles. The grout composition employs a water dispersible epoxy polymer and a water compatible polyamine epoxy resin adduct as the curing agent in combination with a water repellent component. For colored grouts, a color coated filler such as sand is employed to obtain the enhanced tile grout properties. Luminescent and fluorescent additives and sparkle additives may be used in the grout to provide special visual effects in the light or dark.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to methods, kits, systems and fabrications of home theater presentation rooms, audio listening rooms, and other types of rooms having acoustical panels (collectively, nullacoustical-paneled roomsnull) that are arranged inside existing wall structures, such as in a house. Advantageously, the component acoustical panels and bridging structures, such as vertically oriented columns, are so arranged and constructed to permit a particular assemblage of such components to be able to extend across a range of wall widths, or spans. This is achieved by having the panels variably spaced from the centerline of the columns, to form gaps, with the columns nonetheless covering the edges of such panels and the gaps. In preferred embodiments, a particularly strong and easily assembled column assembly is utilized.

    摘要: A modular tower assembly for use with blown film extrusion processes, where modular tower sections each having identical columns/foot prints can be stacked on top of one another. Each module can have rectangular type platforms with walk decks about a central rectangular void middle. Staircases can be built into the side of all decks modules up to the top deck. Each of the four vertical legs of the deck modules has flat plate bottoms to stack on the deck surface of the module beneath, and side cross bracing. Side extension platform deck wings with legs can be used when the central rectangular void is enlarged. The modules can be pre-formed and brought onsite to be erected in a rapid assembly manner by fasteners such as bolts, and be removable as compared to permanent type welded towers. The modular towers can include adjustable bracing components for further stiffening the modular towers to have reduced swaying, twisting and vibrations over time.

    摘要: Site cast or pre-cast columns aligned and braced by pre-cast pre-stressed floor beams are used to erect a concrete skeleton structure for a building. The ends of the horizontal beams are imbedded in the columns at floor levels to stabilize and complete the skeleton. The horizontal beams are pre-stressed and are cast with passages that permit insertion of continuous reinforcing tendons into a network throughout each floor level. The tendons are subsequently post-tensioned so to tie the beams together and to the columns to reinforce the skeleton. Slab drop-forms starting at the roof and progressing floor-by-floor downward allow monolithic post-tensioned floor slabs to be cast to tie the skeleton into a unitary structure. The beams are usually integrated (buried) into each monolithic floor slab, keyed, doweled and bonded with bonding agent at cold joints to become a part of the slab structure.
