Abstract:
An electric case trimmer assembly utilizes an inexpensive case adapter bearing to adapt for each size case. The case trimmer assembly includes an end mill for cutting excess material from the case. The end mill is fixed to a micrometer dial threadedly engaging a barrel. The case adapter bearing is fixed to the barrel. The micrometer dial is rotated to adjust the position of the end mill with respect to the case adapter bearing to precisely adjust the amount of material cut from the case. The case adapter bearing is easily changed to trim different cases.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a chamfer device for machining a weld bead surface, which specifically carries out a chamfering process on the welding bead surfaces of objects to be processed (such as metal sheet materials and pipes). In the present invention, immediately after a chamfering-amount-adjustment unit has been rotated and released, a position-setting pin is inserted into a securing recess in the chamfering-amount-adjustment unit, while the chamfering amount is adjusted in precise units and simultaneously locked at a predetermined chamfering amount which is automatically maintained, and the adjustment of the chamfering amount is achieved in a straightforward fashion with just one touch. When the chamfering-amount-adjustment unit is operated, a mobile cutter shaft moves vertically and as it does so the chamfering amount is adjusted in such a way that the chamfering amount can be immediately and rapidly adjusted while continuously operating without regard to any cutter rotation action.
Abstract:
A drill sleeve is provided for guiding a bone drill in alignment with the screw holes and drill guides. The drill sleeve includes a cylindrical body having a first end, a second end and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. The cylindrical body includes a longitudinal bore therethrough that is sized for passage of a bone drill. The drill sleeve also includes a frictional retaining element for exerting a bearing force against the surface of the bone drill, such that the frictional retaining element may support at least the weight of the drill sleeve on the bone drill. The bone drill has graduated indicia, and a portion of the drill sleeve may be referenced relative to the indicia so as to be used as a depth gauge for determining the length of a drilled hole in order to select a screw fastener having the appropriate length.
Abstract:
A drilling bit with the depth-limiting and angle-leading function for the carpenter's work, having a covering sleeve (with a driving shaft) and a bit holder for securing a bit. A limit ring and a screw socket (with female thread) are screwable to the covering sleeve (with the male thread) for adjusting the depth of the spot-faced hole in a workpiece (to be drilled) according to the actual operation requirement.
Abstract:
A hole saw includes a depth stop for limiting the depth of penetration of the hole saw into a workpiece. The blade of the hole saw includes a plurality of slots, one of which is used to receive the depth stop. The depth stop is mounted to the blade by positioning a portion of the depth stop within the slot and sliding the depth stop from an unsecured position to a secured position. Once in the secured position, a locking member is moved within the depth stop to secure the depth stop in place. In use, the blade is advanced through the workpiece until the depth stop contacts the proximal surface of the workpiece.
Abstract:
A floating tool-bit depth controlling nosepiece for a spring loaded tool holder is used to countersink holes of equal size when the height of the work piece material changes. The floating tool-bit depth controlling nosepiece, driven by a cnc machine, is rigidly coupled to the floating portion of the tool holding element. The floating depth controlling nosepiece has a bearing on the end to allow an area of the nosepiece to stop rotating when the nosepiece is pressed against the work-piece surface. Since the area of the nosepiece that comes into contact with the work-piece is no longer spinning in relationship with the work-piece, the possibility of scratching the work-piece surface is reduced. Additionally, the nosepiece has cutouts therein to expel machined chips during countersinking of holes.
Abstract:
A device to collect cuttings produced by a cutting tool may include a chip cutter to shear each cutting into a multiplicity of chips each substantially smaller than each cutting. The device may also include a collector to collect the chips without using suction and other air or gas pressure. The chip cutter may be disposed within the collector.
Abstract:
A broken conduit end portion is repaired by reducing its radial wall thickness and attaching thereto a repair coupling that is configured to provide an internal passage therethrough that is not smaller than the internal passages in the broken conduit end portion and in a second conduit that is attached to the repair coupling.
Abstract:
A drill bit assembly is disclosed and can include a drill bit and a drill stop sleeve disposed around the drill bit. The drill stop sleeve can include a locking collar that can be movable between an unlocked position and a locked position. In the unlocked position, the drill stop sleeve can be movable along the drill bit to one of a plurality of drill stop depths. In the locked position, the drill stop sleeve can be locked along the drill bit in one of the plurality of drill stop depths.
Abstract:
A depth limiting device includes a stop collar having a an open end portion and an workpiece engaging portion extending along the open end portion thereof for contacting a workpiece; a spindle extending axially through the shell, the spindle including a first end extending from the exterior of the stop collar for attachment to a hole forming apparatus, and an second end interior to the stop collar for attachment to a hole forming bit, wherein the attached hole forming bit projects through the open end portion of the stop collar at a predetermined length corresponding to the desired depth of the hole in the workpiece; and a bearing assembly operatively associated with the stop collar and the spindle for isolating the rotation of the spindle from the stop collar whereby the stop collar ceases to rotate when contacting the workpiece without generating sufficient frictional contact to mar or otherwise damage the workpiece.
