Abstract: The present invention relates to a mechanically expandable and collapsible traffic warning device safety marker comprising a base member, a controllable linear motion machine assembly and a battery with its connecting components which are contained within the base member, a collapsible body member, and an actuator switch member. The controllable linear motion machine assembly is controlled by an actuator switch member that enables the collapsible body member to mechanically collapse and expand upon user interaction. The controllable linear motion machine assembly mechanically retracts the collapsible body member to a nested position within the base member for compaction upon the user pressing the actuator switch member resulting in the mechanically expandable and collapsible traffic warning device safety marker to be easily stored within a compartment of a vehicle and mechanically expanding the expandable and collapsible body member conveniently to a ready for application condition.

Abstract: A portable temporary road sign structure comprises a sheet material substrate cut into a flat pattern having three interconnected panels: a display panel; a base panel; and a brace panel. The panels are formed to enable deployment into a self-supporting configuration in which the display panel is held upright when the base panel is placed on the ground. For transportation between sites the base and brace panels can be folded flat against the display panel whereby respective handle align for ease of carrying. Various apertures and formations are provided to enable the road sign structure to be held in place, when deployed, by roadside fixtures or weighted bollards.

Abstract: A pylon or barrier arrangement which is recessed into the ground or other surface and includes a post-like pylon which is movable between an extended position for control of vehicular or pedestrian traffic, and a retracted position beneath the ground. Movement of the pylon is achieved by a linear-type drive mechanism which acts as a clutch by decoupling from an upright and rotatable smooth drive shaft during abrupt downward driving of the pylon to avoid damage to the internal components of the arrangement. A sealing arrangement is provided for preventing the entry of debris into the interior of the pylon arrangement, and a heating unit is provided for preventing seizure of the arrangement during harsh weather conditions.

Abstract: A light-reflective marker for roadways or the like and having a supported stake with a tubular member telescope thereover. The upper end of the tubular member has light-reflective material effective on a 360-degree circle around the marker. The outer tubular member has approximately at least twice the interior diameter compared to the outer diameter of the stake which is telescoped within the tubular member. Abstract: A transportable, foldable, compact sign stand device is disclosed which includes a frame section in which a center panel for receiving advertising messages and the like is suspended or attached. A single tubular member is bent to form the device and it comprises two parallel leg members and an upstanding frame section. The center panel is attached to the upper cross-bar or the two side members of the frame section. A slot is provided under the upper cross-bar of the frame section to relieve tension and allow the leg members to be moved easily to their open and closed positions. A foldable bracket is attached to the leg members to hold them in their open positions.
