摘要： The coating of the pressure roller (3) of a drawing roller frame for spinning frames comprises an outer layer and an inner layer fixed to the core of the pressure roller. The outer layer is thinner and harder than the inner layer and is embodied as an endless belt (1) which loosely surrounds the inner layer such that the belt can be displaced in relation to the inner layer. In order to improve the running of the belt, the belt is guided over a deflector rail (2), the cross-sectional area (u) of the rail being wider than the average staple length of the fibre material (F) drawn on the drawing roller frame. Furthermore, the belt is designed in such a way that it comprises a double thread interlining, one thread interlining being wound counter to the second thread interlining such that the threads of one thread interlining cross the threads of the second thread interlining.

摘要： A pressure roll of a drafting device comprises a cylindrical casing and a sleeve of an elastic material having flanges. The sleeve is mounted in a spaced relationship to the casing, the flanges of the sleeve are bent toward one another and each flange has two portions of which one portion extends at an angle to the generatrix of the cylindrical casing and the other portion extends in parallel with the generatrix of the cylindrical casing and is secured to the cylindrical casing so that a satisfactory elasticity of the roll along the entire length of its working surface is ensured.

摘要： A method of improving the outer portion of a rotatable textile fiber processing component is provided, the method comprising the steps of making the outer portion substantially of butadiene copolymer rubber, subjecting the outer portion to the action of a halogen to define the desired properties of minimum compression set for the outer portion and a working surface which has a comparatively low coefficient of friction, mounting the component on a rotatable support means of a textile processing equipment, then operating the equipment whereby the outer portion of the component is worked, and applying additional halogen on the outer portion with the component in a stationary position in its working environment in the equipment while supported on the rotatable support means therefor after the outer portion has been worn from the working thereof whereby the outer portion is rejuvenated so that further operation of the equipment can take place with the component again having the desired properties.

摘要： For mounting and dismantling a resilient liner of a pressing roller of a draft-frame in textile machinery preparatory to spinning, a method is suggested which comprises the steps of positioning the liner on a temporary supporting member, inserting the roller into the liner with a snug fit while simultaneously slipping the temporary supporting member away. The worn out liner can be removed by cutting it longitudinally on at least two parallel lines by means of radially projecting blades mounted on a specially provided collar, the cut liner being then manually peeled off. An apparatus for performing these operations quickly and conveniently is also described. The method and apparatus in question permit to dispense with adhesives for fastening the resilient sleeve to its own supporting member, and affords the possibility of removing the resilient layer without damaging the roller in any wise.
