摘要: An open-end spinning machine having a plurality of workstations, each workstation has a spinning apparatus for producing a thread, a thread draw-off device for drawing off the thread from the spinning apparatus, a storage nozzle, a winding apparatus for producing a cross-wound bobbin, and a suction nozzle, to which negative pressure can be applied. The open-end spinning machine is equipped with at least one service unit, serving a plurality of the workstations and has an auxiliary-thread delivery device for delivering an auxiliary thread and an auxiliary-thread draw-off, which are used in a piecing process at a workstation to be served. The auxiliary-thread draw-off can be operated in such a way that the auxiliary-thread draw-off speed of the auxiliary-thread draw-off for drawing off the pieced auxiliary thread has a speed offset, which takes into account the thread draw-off speed of the thread draw-off device and at least one additional correction factor.

摘要: A method for operating a textile machine with several identical workstations which each have a basic requirement for negative pressure for regular production operation and an additional requirement for negative pressure following an interruption to production at the workstation, and with a vacuum system with limited suction force to exert the negative pressure on the workstations. A minimum negative pressure (pmin) is set and the number workstations simultaneously supplied with additional negative pressure is limited so that the minimum negative pressure (pmin) is always met. In accordance with the invention, a sub-negative pressure (psub) is specified which is below the minimum negative pressure (pmin) and, if a specified event occurs, the number of workstations simultaneously supplied with additional negative pressure is temporarily limited so that the sub-negative pressure (psub) is always met.

The invention proposes that the spinning station (1) has an information unit (7) with the aid of which it is possible to display to an operator of the spinning station (1) how much yarn (3) has to be at least unwound from the package (16) located in the winding apparatus (20) following the interruption to the yarn production in order to ensure that the yarn section having the yarn defect has been completely removed from the package (16). Furthermore, a yarn clearer and a method for operating a spinning station are proposed.

摘要: In order that stray fibers do not settle in the rotor during the spinning start process at the spinning box of a rotor spinning machine, an openable air valve is provided for initially cleaned the rotor by delivering an air current into the rotor either by drawing ambient air through the valve as a consequence of the spinning vacuum or by blowing in compressed air through the valve. As an alternative to known spring-loaded ball valves pose the danger that the spring ceases to perform due to deposits of dust and fibers, the present invention provides a magnet arranged in association with the valve seat in the area of its valve opening to attract the ball, which consists of a magnetizable material, and thereby hold the ball in closed position.

摘要: Method and apparatus for spinning-in yarn on an open end spinning machine following a yarn rupture, wherein the machine includes a plurality of operating units which wind yarn on respective bobbins and an attending device movable along the operating units to the unit at which a rupture occurred. Upon a yarn rupture, the winding of the bobbin is halted, and the bobbin is permitted to be unwound a metered length. A detecting nozzle detects the yarn end and sucks in the yarn end and moves away from the bobbin. A catching arm supports the yarn. A tension roller receives the yarn on it. The tension roller is located on a spinning head which is swingable from a position toward the bobbin to a position toward the rotor and the head is then movable to move the yarn on the roller toward the rotor. A clamp on the spinning head clamps the yarn and a trimmer trims the yarn to form the yarn end. An ancillary compensator at the spinning head deflects the yarn to compensate and then releases the yarn. The yarn end is sucked into the rotor where it is blended with the incoming fibers to reform the yarn which is then again wound on the bobbin.
