The grease has improved extreme pressure performance as measured by the Standard Test Method for Measurement of Extreme-Pressure Properties of Lubricating Grease (Four-Ball Method), ASTM D2596.
    Methods of making an overbased metal detergent grease comprising using at least one of polyalkylene glycol and/or an acid having at least one of both a nitrogen and a sulfur atom. Methods of lubricating mechanical components using the grease comprising contacting the mechanical component with the grease. Mechanical components can include gears, drivetrain elements, bearings, hinges, or combinations thereof.

    摘要: A lubricating oil composition and method of operating a boosted internal combustion engine. The lubricating oil composition includes greater than 50 wt. % of a base oil, one or more overbased calcium-containing detergents having a TBN greater than 225 mg KOH/g and one or more magnesium-containing detergents. A total amount of calcium from the one or more overbased calcium-containing detergents is from 900 ppm to less than 2400 ppm by weight, and a total amount of magnesium from the one or more magnesium-containing detergents is from 50 ppm to 500 ppm by weight, both based on a total weight of the lubricating oil composition. The lubricating oil composition and the method of using it are effective to reduce low speed pre-ignition events in a boosted internal combustion engine lubricated with the lubricating oil composition.

    摘要: A lubricating oil composition and method of operating a boosted internal combustion engine. The lubricating oil composition is formulated to be resistant to turbocharger deposit formation in the boosted internal combustion engine, as shown by its ability to ensure a TCO Temperature Increase of less than 9.0% as measured using the 2015 version of the General Motors Dexos1® Turbocharger Coking Test. The lubricating oil composition may also have a low NOACK volatility, as measured by the method of ASTM D-5800 at 250° C.

    摘要: Disclosed is a novel diesel engine oil composition for fuel efficiency and endurance performance. The diesel engine oil composition may maximize frictional resistance and wear resistance by facilitating the formation of a lubricating film on a metal surface, extend an oil change cycle with excellent engine protection ability, and improve fuel efficiency due to friction reduction. The diesel engine oil composition include: base oil; a calcium-based or magnesium-based sulfonate detergent dispersant; a viscosity index improver selected from the group consisting of a diene copolymer, a polystyrene-diene copolymer and a hydrogenated polystyrene-diene copolymer; and a low friction agent including molybdenum dithiocarbamate (MoDTC) and glycerol monooleate (GMO).
