摘要: The present invention refers to a polyvinyl chloride composition with high stability, said composition comprising: a) 100 phr (parts per hundred resin) of a polyvinyl chloride resin, b) 10-150 phr of pentaerythritol tetravalerate as plasticizer, said pentaerythritol tetravalerate having an acid value of less than 0.05 mg KOH/g and being obtained through esterification of valeric acid and high purity pentaerythritol having a purity of at least 98%, an ash content of less than 200 ppm and a dipentaerythritol content of 0.1-2 wt%, c) 0.3-14 phr of at least one stabilizer, and optionally d) at least one additive, wherein and the amount of free acid in the polyvinyl chloride composition is less than 30 ppm, preferably less than 20 ppm. The invention further refers to a polyvinyl chloride article comprising said composition and having an amount of free acid less than 30 ppm, preferably less than 20 ppm. The present invention also refers to a method for analyzing the amount of free acid in a polyvinyl chloride sample.

摘要: A dispersion stabilizer for suspension polymerization of vinyl compounds comprising a vinyl alcohol polymer (A) which has a saponification degree of 30 mol % or more and less than 60 mol % and a viscosity-average polymerization degree (P) of more than 200 and less than 600, and has a terminal alkyl group having 6 to 18 carbon atoms, and in which a content of monomer units having an oxyalkylene group is 0.3 mol % or less and the relationship between the viscosity-average polymerization degree (P) and a modification rate (S) (mol %) of the alkyl group satisfies Formula (1). Thus, there can be provided a dispersion stabilizer for suspension polymerization with which, during suspension polymerization of vinyl compounds including vinyl chloride, even when it is used in a small amount, the absorbency of a plasticizer is high, resulting in easy processing and formation of coarse particles is little and the remaining monomer components can be easily removed. 50≦S×P/1.880

The polymer comprising (i) residues of at least one ester-containing monomer, the ester-containing monomer (s) comprising one polymerisable carbon-carbon double bond per monomer and an ester group, and (ii) residues of at least one monomer comprising a sulfonate, sulfonic acid, sulfonic ester, sulfonamide or sulfonyl halide group the monomer (s) comprising a sulfonate, sulfonic acid, sulfonic ester group, sulfonamide or sulfonyl halide group comprising one polymerisable carbon-carbon double bond per monomer and a sulfonate, sulfonic acid, sulfonic ester, sulfonamide or sulfonyl halide group, the polymer optionally being partially hydrolysed such that a proportion of said ester groups form alcohol groups, the degree of hydrolysis of the polymer being from 0 to 30 mol %.
