    摘要: A targeted delivery of recombinant therapeutic protein to inhibit the growth of cancer cells is disclosed. The recombinant protein derived from Abrin-a A-chain able to inhibit the growth of cancer cell and conjugated to stxB to form Abrin-f-stxB. The abrin toxin A chain and the Shiga toxin B chain are linked with the furin linker to form a recombinant therapeutic protein as chemotherapeutic agent to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. A conjugate for the delivery of a compound into cancer cells, comprising a first module mediates cell targeting and facilitates cellular uptake, a second module facilitates transport to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), a third module mediates translocation from the ER to the cytosol and a compound that is desired to be delivered to the cytosol. The recombinant protein Abrin-f-stxB exhibits high binding affinity of stxB as a drug delivery system to Gb3 receptor in targeted cancer diagnosis and treatment.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of using increased levels of one or more biomarkers to identify subjects having non-celiac gluten sensitivity or non-celiac wheat sensitivity. The identification would aid the physician or health professional to determine a specific treatment for the patient, for example, a diet that eliminates wheat, rye, and/or barley. In one embodiment, the biomarkers are one or more of soluble CD 14 (sCD14), lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP), anti-lipopolysaccharide antibodies, anti-flagellin antibodies, anti-gliadin antibodies, and intestinal fatty acid-binding protein (FABP2). The present invention also provides a method of using the same markers to monitor the response to treatment for non-celiac wheat sensitivity in a subject.

    摘要: Described is the specific delivery of agrochemicals to plants. More specifically, a targeting agent has at least one binding domain that specifically binds to a binding site on an intact living plant. Such binding domains include a peptide having 4 framework regions and 3 complementary determining regions, or fragment(s) thereof, wherein the binding domains bind or retain a carrier onto a plant. Described are binding domains that specifically bind trichomes, stomata, cuticle, lenticels, thorns, spines, root hairs, or wax layer. Further described are methods for delivering agrochemicals to a plant, for depositing agrochemicals on a plant, and for retaining the agrochemicals on a plant, using targeting agents comprising the binding domains, and to methods for protecting a plant against stress or controlling plant growth.     摘要: Provided herein are antibodies that bind Fagales allergens, Fagales related allergens, birch pollen, or Bet v 1, compositions comprising the antibodies, nucleic acids encoding the antibodies, and methods of using the antibodies. According to certain embodiments, the antibodies are fully human monoclonal antibodies that bind to Bet v 1. The antibodies are useful for binding Bet v 1 in vivo, thus preventing binding of the allergen to pre-formed IgE on the surface of mast cells or basophils. In doing so, the antibodies act to prevent the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators from mast cells and/or basophils, thus ameliorating the untoward response to the Fagales allergens in sensitized individuals.
