    摘要: A method of manufacture of Portland cement clinker is described in a dry process that captures the carbon dioxide emitted from the calcination of carbonate minerals, principally limestone. The process uses an indirectly heated, counter-flow reactor to pre-heat and calcine the cement meal to produce a separate calcined meal and carbon dioxide gas stream, with external heat being provided by the combustion of a secondary fuel stream with pre-heated air. This calcined meal is injected into the conventional rotary kiln, where the hot flue gas from combustion of the primary fuel with pre-heated air is used to fuse, react and sinter the powders to form granules of cement clinker. The clinker and carbon dioxide streams are cooled by the air pre-heaters.

    摘要: Described are stabilized materials and methods and systems for providing said stabilized materials. The system includes a first unit for mixing a first combination that includes a quantity of drill cuttings and a drying agent. The system may include a second unit for mixing the first combination with at least a binder and/or a surface acting agent and providing a second combination. The second combination is formed when the first combination is caused to have a reduced moisture content, transitioning from a first state to a second state. The reduced moisture content in the second state is at least 20% less than the moisture content of the drill cuttings. The first combination in a second state is a stabilized material. The first combination in a second state may be a dried material. The binder and/or a surface acting agent with or without additional additives are not introduced until the first combination is in the second state.

    摘要: A method of making a porous silicate based material with similar properties as an extrusive or intrusive igneous silicate based rock without being naturally occurring. Quartz sand with a silica content (SiO2) of more than 75% is mixed with Sodium oxide, Calcium oxide, and Aluminum oxide and heated up to a temperature of more than 960° C. and for the chemical reactions to take place and for the molten mixture to reach an elastic state where the viscosity allows the formed gasses to be dissolved into the melt. The sintering process may be at atmospheric pressure or at positive pressure. The material is then cooled to a solid. The process gives a porous igneous rock with micro cells based on CO2 bubbles made at a temperature prior to the molten mixture reaching a plastic state. The solid material may be milled and used as a filter material. In one aspect, the solid is milled, mixed with a foaming agent, melted and cooled in order to form an even more porous second solid material.
