摘要:
A compound lens assembly and method for making a compound lens assembly useful for deep ultraviolet lithography are described. The compound lens assembly includes a first lens component having an optical surface bonded to an optical surface of a second lens component. The bonding at the interface can be achieved using a hydroxide catalysis bonding technique. The compound lens assembly and process for making same solve problems relating to constringence and/or inherent birefringence known for conventional optical elements used in deep ultraviolet lithography or inspection of wafers or reticles in the DUV.

A method for creating gradient optical properties within a substrate is disclosed herein. More specifically, the present invention teaches a method whereby a material disposed on a substrate is patterned in three dimensions such that the thickness and diffusivity properties of the material can be used to regulate the diffusion of ions into the substrate. An example is given in which ions, injected into a substrate through an ion exchange process, alter the refractive index within the substrate in a pre-selected fashion to form a gradient refractive index lens.

A rectangular stacked lens module and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The rectangular stacked lens module is produced by cutting straight lines through a stacked lens module array. Firstly, it produces at least two lens arrays. Each lens array includes a plurality of optical lenses by multi-cavity glass molding and at least one alignment member disposed on the non-optical area of the lens array. Then at least the two lens arrays are assembled by the alignment members and are stacked with other optical elements so as to form a stacked lens module array. The optical axis of each optical lens is aligned easily with each other so as to meet requirements for optical precision. Moreover, the manufacturing processes are simplified and the purposes of mass-production and low cost are achieved.

An optical subassembly manufacturing method includes forming connecting electrodes and a piece of high-melting-point glass on a wiring substrate; positioning on and connecting to the connecting electrodes, an optoelectronic converting element; disposing on the piece of high-melting-point glass, a piece of low-melting-point glass having a melting point lower than the piece of high-melting-point glass; and fixing to the piece of low-melting-point glass, a protruding portion of a lens member further having a lens portion. The protruding portion has a shape matching that of the piece of high-melting-point glass, and relative positions of the protruding portion and the optical axis of the lens portion are determined to correspond to relative positions of the connecting electrodes and the piece of high-melting-point glass. The fixing includes fixing the protruding portion of the lens member to the piece of high-melting-point glass via surface tension generated by melting the piece of low-melting-point glass.

A second optical element is bonded to a first optical element by forming the second optical element larger in diameter than the first optical element by pressing a second optical element material against the first optical element under a condition free from restriction to at least part of the second optical element material in the direction orthogonal to a direction in which the second optical element material is pressed.

A mold for molding glass elements includes a substrate (1), a protecting film (2) and a cooling tube (10). The protecting film is formed on the substrate. The protecting film includes at least one noble metal layer (21) and at least one silicon carbide layer (22). The noble metal layer and the silicon carbide layer are alternately stacked one on the other in turn. The cooling tube is arranged in the substrate. The present invention also discloses another mold for molding glass elements including a substrate, a protecting film and a channel. The channel is defined in the substrate. The mold is inexpensive, can withstand high temperatures, and has a long service lifetime.

What is described here is a method of manufacturing a spectacle lens in which the critical thickness is to be minimized in particular, comprising the following steps of operation: initially, a spectacle lens finished on one side (blank) is manufactured with a predetermined outsides contour and a round outside contour in particular, one part is cut out from the blank, whose outside contour corresponds approximately to the contour of the spectacle lens, the cut-out part is joined with the edge part with an axial offset in such a way that the edge part serves as handle for the subsequent machining operations.

Casting a glass major portion of a multifocal lens blank over a glass segment portion of the blank or impressing the segment into the major portion during or immediately after casting. The glass for the major is selected to coincide in viscosity with the segment glass within a range of 105 to 109 poises at least at one temperature, and that above the crossover point the viscosity of the segment glass is higher than the viscosity of the major glass at the same temperature.
