    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a flexible pouch. In an embodiment, the flexible pouch includes opposing flexible films. The flexible films define a common peripheral edge. A microcapillary strip is sealed between the opposing flexible films. A first side of the microcapillary strip is located at a first side of the common peripheral edge and a second side of the microcapillary strip located at a second side of the common peripheral edge. A peripheral seal extends along at least a portion of the common peripheral edge. The peripheral seal comprises a sealed microcapillary segment. The peripheral seal forms a closed flexible pouch having a storage compartment. A liquid is present in the storage compartment.

    Abstract: A dispenser (10) for dispensing a flowable material M has a container (12) having an outer wall (20) and membrane (14) collectively defining a first chamber (22) configured to contain the flowable material M. The membrane (14) has a thickness and a weld seam (40) wherein the weld seam (40) has a thickness less than the thickness of the membrane (14). A fracturing mechanism (16) is operably connected to the container (12). The fracturing mechanism (16) has an extending member (64) projecting from the outer wall (20) of the container (12). The extending member (64) has a projection (66) positioned proximate the membrane (14), wherein in response to deflection of the extending member (64), the projection (66) deflects the outer wall (20) proximate the membrane (14) wherein the weld seam (40) fractures creating an opening (41) through the membrane (14) configured to allow the flowable material M to pass therethrough and from the dispenser (10).

    Abstract: A dispenser for viscous or pasty materials comprises a storage container in the form of a flexible tube (2) and an applicator (24). The tube (2) comprises an elongate, 1-piece hollow moulding of polymeric material, one end of which is closed and formed at the other end of which is an integral dispensing valve defining one or more dispensing slits (22). The or each dispensing slit is defined by a respective pair of resilient plates (18), which are opposed and inclined to one another and have a respective free edge, the two free edges defining a dispensing slit. The applicator has an applicator surface and one or more passages (30), into which the free edges of a respective pair of resilient plates is received. The width of each passage in the applicator is dimensioned such that there is a gap between the free edges of the resilient plates and the associated side surfaces of the passage, when the dispensing slit is closed and so that this gap is substantially closed, when the dispensing slit is opened by the application of pressure to the flexible tube in order to dispense material within the tube.
