Abstract:
There is provided an applicator head (10) for administration of a topical formulation, comprising a dosing aid for application of a predefined dose of the topical formulation. The applicator head (10) comprises an applicator surface (20) adapted to apply the topical formulation to a user's skin. The applicator surface (20) comprises an outlet opening (40). The dosing aid comprises a dose marking, or dose markings (60, 60′, 60″, 62′, 62″) on the applicator surface (20), and wherein the dose marking (60, 60′, 60″, 62′, 62″) circumscribes an inner dosing compartment (64) that serves to measure the predefined dose of the topical formulation, and wherein the outlet opening (40) is disposed inside the inner dosing compartment.
Abstract:
A dispenser actuator assembly (100) for actuating a dispenser (10) has a base member (102) operably connected to an actuator assembly (104). The dispenser (10) is in the form of a glass ampoule assembly (10) having a rupturable glass ampoule (12) containing a flowable material (M). The glass ampoule (12) is contained within an outer container (14). The glass ampoule assembly (10) has an applicator (16) positioned in the outer container (14). The dispenser actuator assembly (100) has the base member (102) that is configured to mount on the outer container (14). The actuator assembly (104) has a first actuator arm (132a) and a second actuator arm (132b) each pivotally connected to the base member (102). The first actuator arm (132a) has a first protrusion (150a) depending therefrom and the second actuator arm (132b) has a second protrusion (150b) depending therefrom. The first actuator arm (132a) and the second actuator arm (132b) are pivotable such that the first protrusion (150a) and the second protrusion (150b) engage the outer container (14) to rupture the glass ampoule (12).
Abstract:
A screen repair system and method is disclosed. The system including containers holding solutions of sodium silicate and applicators to apply the solution to damaged areas of screens.
Abstract:
A paint storage device stores paint in an flexible container that has an reusable applicator head for applying paint to walls or other surfaces. One port of a cap seals the flexible container to store the paint while another port of the cap allows paint to flow from the flexible container to the applicator.
Abstract:
A container for dispensing a flowable material includes a body member having a neck portion containing an opening for dispensing the flowable material, a collapsible mid portion adjacent the neck portion, and a non-collapsible tail portion adjacent the mid portion that serves as a blade for smoothing the flowable material after the flowable material has been dispensed from the container. Also disclosed is such a container having a cap and an abrasive assembly including a lid and an abrasive element for sanding the hardened material.
Abstract:
In one aspect, a dispenser is provided herein for dispensing flowable material, such as sunscreen lotion, including a resiliently deformable body encompassing a closed volume with an optional flexible pouch disposed therein to accommodate the flowable material. A discharge element is also provided having at least one discharge opening, along with at least one valve regulating flow from the closed volume or the flexible pouch and through the discharge opening. The body is configured so that a threshold amount of deformation of the body causes the flowable material to urge from the closed body through the discharge opening or the pressure increase of the closed volume acting on the flexible pouch sufficiently so that flowable material accommodated in the flexible pouch is urged therefrom through the discharge opening. Advantageously, the dispenser of the subject invention allows for a generally isobaric environment to be created which acts evenly about the flexible pouch. This allows for a more even application of pressure acting against, and a more complete depletion, of the optional flexible pouch.
Abstract:
Dentifrice dispenser (1) comprising: a container defining a chamber storing a dentifrice and having an opening through which the dentifrice is dispensable from the chamber; and a mount (20) for connecting a toothbrush (30) to the container, the mount (20) comprising an annular, or part-annular, collar (22) positioned around a portion of the container to attach the mount (20) to the container. Dentifrice dispenser kit, comprising: a container defining a chamber storing a dentifrice and having an opening through which the dentifrice is dispensable from the chamber; and a mount (20) for connecting a toothbrush (30) to the container, the mount (20) comprising an annular, or part-annular, collar (22) positionable around a portion of the container to attach the mount (20) to the container.
Abstract:
Single use containers designed to store and dispense liquid substances having a wide variation in viscosities. The container includes a container body that defines a storage compartment for storing the liquid substance and is provided with a neck including a seal positioned in the neck to seal a liquid substance in the storage compartment during storage. The container also includes a cap defining a recess and being adapted for engaging the neck and including structure for piercing the seal and a channel which passes through the structure for piercing the seal to the recess. An applicator is located in the recess such that the applicator and recess together define a chamber between an end of the channel and the applicator to allow liquid to flow from said channel into said chamber.
Abstract:
A device for dispensing liquid including an opening for dispensing liquid, a pad for absorbing residual liquid and a removable cap including a shape in the immediate vicinity and opposite the dispensing opening, referred to as a shape for expelling residual liquid, configured to discharge the residual liquid toward the pad when the cap is mounted on the device.
Abstract:
The head (16) includes an application wall (30) having a central axis (A-A′), in which the application wall (30) defines at least one product dispensing orifice (82A), off-centered with respect to the central axis (A-A′), It includes a removable cap, mobile between a position for closing each dispensing orifice (82A) and a product dispensing position, the removable cap (32) comprising a bearing element (106B) on the application wall (30). The dispensing orifice (82A) remains clear when the bearing element is applied on the application wall (30), When the cap (32) occupies its closing position, each dispensing orifice (82A) is placed facing an intermediate closed region (154) of a bearing element (106B), located between a first exterior contact region (152A) of the bearing element (106B) with the application wall (30) and a second interior contact region (152B) of the bearing element (106B) with the application wall (30).
