    Abstract: Disclosed are can taps for dispensing fluids from containers. The can tap has a housing with a housing net and a housing outlet, and a pin and a tap outlet. The pin has a flow portion in fluid communication with the housing inlet and housing outlet. The flow portion of the pin may be a hollow shaft. The pin has a blunt depressor capable of operating a valve on the container. The can tap may have a gasket comprising a material having a hardness that prevents deformation of the container.

    Abstract: The invention comprises a novel apparatus for delivering a nutritive substance comprising a container body having a base at one end thereof, an upper portion adapted for removable receipt of a closure, the upper portion defining an opening therein, and a chamber defined by the container body, the chamber being in fluid communication with the upper portion opening. A seal is bonded across the upper portion opening of the container and is adapted to provide an airtight seal across the opening. A closure is removably coupled to the container upper portion. A nutritive substance is coated onto an element selected from the group consisting of an inner surface of the container upper portion, the closure, an insert positioned above the seal, and combinations thereof. The seal prevents contact between the nutritive substance and the contents of the container until the seal is removed or pierced.

    Abstract: A tube head assembly includes a tube head that includes a lid, a cap that includes a punch and a spacing ring. The ring is dimensioned in such a way as to keep the punch spaced from the lid when the cap is screwed onto the neck.     Abstract: A fluid component separation system includes a container that has an upper end comprising a threaded neck. The container has a first fluid therein. A housing has a top wall and a perimeter wall. The perimeter wall has a lower section that includes the bottom edge. An inner surface of the lower section is threaded and is threadably coupled to the threaded neck. A membrane is mounted in the housing and divides the lower section from an upper section of the housing. The upper section has a second fluid therein. A shaft has a top end and a bottom end. The shaft extends through the top wall and the top end is positioned above the top wall. The bottom end is pointed. The shaft is extendable downwardly through the membrane to pierce the membrane and empty the second fluid into the first fluid.

    Abstract: The invention comprises a novel apparatus for delivering a nutritive substance comprising a container body having a base at one end thereof, an upper portion adapted for removable receipt of a closure, the upper portion defining an opening therein, and a chamber defined by the container body, the chamber being in fluid communication with the upper portion opening. A laminate seal having at least two layers is bonded across the upper portion opening and is adapted to provide an airtight seal across the opening. A nutritive substance is bonded to at least one layer of the laminate seal. The container additionally comprises a closure removably coupled to the upper portion. The closure comprises a cutting portion which is adapted to pierce the laminate seal, thereby releasing the nutritive substance into the container contents.

    Abstract: A medicament-disposing container includes a bottle having a large diameter for storage of a medicament and an initially sealed narrow nozzle. A cap is threadably engaged on the nozzle and includes a piercer for penetrating a nozzle upon rotation of a cap on the nozzle. The piercer as a tapered end and a lumen therethrough including communication with a port in a piercer circumference. Upon penetration of the nozzle, the port is disposed proximate an internal surface of the nozzle in order to provide a restricted passage for throttling medicament therepast in order to enable dropwise dispensing of the medicament through the piercer lumen.
