摘要： A method for producing sterile solution-filled containers includes positioning a cartridge onto a filling machine. The cartridge includes a plurality of containers, a filter assembly, and a connection line in fluid communication with the filter assembly. Each of the plurality of containers includes a volume and a stem in fluid communication with the volume and in fluid communication with the connection line. The method includes coupling the cartridge to a feed line in fluid communication with a mix tank, activating a pump coupled to the feed line, and at least partially filling one or more of the volumes associated with the plurality of containers by pumping fluid through the feed line, the filter assembly, and the connection line to create one or more at least partially filled containers. Further, the method includes sealing and separating each of the filled and sealed containers from the connection line.

摘要： A method for the portioned packaging of liquid or pasty products using a packaging machine. The product is fed via an inlet to a metering chamber, being metered in the metering chamber by a metering member to form a product portion, and the product portion being fed via a metering outlet to a package. In order to avoid impairments of products which are sensitive to crystallizing out in the inoperative state, the metering chamber is operated in continuous flow in at least one operating state of the packaging machine from the following group: downtimes of the packaging machine, start-up of the packaging machine and operation of the packaging machine, by the product—whether entirely or in a partial flow—being removed entirely or partially from the metering chamber past the metering member via an outlet provided in addition to the metering outlet and being recirculated.

摘要： A system for dispensing a liquid includes a source (24) of a liquid that crystallizes upon exposure to water moisture in air (e.g., an isocyanate). A dispenser (58) includes an inlet conduit (62) for receiving the liquid from the source, an outlet conduit (72) for dispensing the liquid out of an outlet opening exposed to air, and a valve (66) between the inlet (62) and outlet conduits (72). In the closed position of the valve (i) an upstream portion of the liquid is retained in the inlet conduit (62) on the upstream side of the valve (66) and (ii) a downstream portion of the liquid extending from the downstream side of the valve to the outlet opening is retained in the outlet conduit (72) on the downstream side of the valve (66). The size of the outlet opening of the outlet conduit (72) is sufficiently small to retain the downstream portion of the liquid in the outlet conduit when the valve (66) is in the closed position.

A device support supports at least one such device in a substantially fixed position relative to the support during filling and/or resealing. A manifold drivingly mounted over the device support can include (1) a cartridge including a filling needle for penetrating a resealable stopper and introducing a substance therethrough into the device, a mount for mounting the cartridge on the manifold, and a removable cover releasably coupled to the mount for covering the filling needle during transportation, installation and/or removal of the cartridge from the manifold. The manifold can include a thermal source for heating a penetrated region of the stopper and, sealing the hole.

摘要： A closed path vial fill system includes a bulk product vial, a peristaltic pump operated by a stepper motor, a dispensing manifold assembly to which may be coupled at least one final product vial, an optional quality check station, and an optional waste collection system. A concentration, activity, and volume (CAV) sensor may be incorporated into the system to receive a radiopharmaceutical product directly from a synthesizing unit. A control system may be integrated into the system to provide automated control of various aspects of the radiopharmaceutical dispensing process. The system is used to aseptically dispense finished radiopharmaceuticals into receiving vessels, such as a Quality Control vial, a sterility vial, and/or final product vials, while providing users an efficient means for removing and discarding contaminated disposable components.

The dual-stream filling system defines a material flow path therethrough. The system includes a primary filling tube having an inlet end and a discharge end and defining a primary filling tube internal flow region. A secondary filling tube has an inlet end and an outlet end and defines a secondary filling tube internal flow region. The secondary filling tube is positioned at least in part within the primary filling tube internal flow region, penetrating the primary filling tube through the first opening. The dual-stream fill system includes a valve plug that includes a portion that is movable relative to the secondary filling tube between an opened state wherein flow communication is established between the internal flow regions of the primary and secondary filling tubes and a closed state wherein flow communication is terminated between the internal flow regions of the primary and secondary filling tubes. An actuator is provided for moving the valve plug portion between the opened and closed positions. The actuator is disposed fully external of the secondary filling tube flow region.
