摘要: A personal watercraft includes a floatation member, a thrust assembly, a steering assembly, and a braking assembly. The assemblies may be actuated either mechanically or electrically. The thrust assembly is human powered, solar powered, or electric powered. The thrust, steering, and braking assemblies can be added after-market to an existing stand-up paddle board (SUP), or built into one or a plurality of SUPs during initial manufacturing. When the thrust assembly is human powered, it is leg or arm powered. When the thrust assembly is leg powered, the legs can move backward and forward in a sliding motion, up and down in a stomping fashion, or move in a loop trajectory. When the thrust assembly is arm powered, the arms can move forward/backward together or separately. The thrust assembly includes one or a plurality of paddles or flippers that are positioned to the side or under the SUP.

摘要: A propulsion assembly utilizes at least one fluid propulsion chamber operationally attached or mounted to a vessel. Each fluid propulsion chamber generally comprises an outer housing and an inner sleeve; the outer housing is slidably disposed relative to the inner sleeve. Each inner sleeve further includes at least one water intake vent or aperture, and at least one outlet nozzle or jet. Pedal assemblies are moveably mounted within elongated slots or apertures extending through the vessel. A linkage assembly operationally connects the pedals to the at least one fluid propulsion chamber. Force imparted on said pedals (such as by the legs/feet of a user) is transferred to the fluid propulsion chambers by said linkage assembly to generate positive thrust to propel the vessel.

摘要: A human powered watercraft or land vehicle is described herein. A watercraft or land vehicle may have two pedals that reciprocated are in a linear or slightly curved trajectory but not a circular motion. As the two pedals are reciprocated, an output shaft is rotated in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction when the left pedal is pushed forward or when the right pedal is pushed forward. The output shaft may be connected to a propeller of a watercraft or a land vehicle so as to propel the watercraft or land vehicle forward. The output shaft may receive rotational input through two gears mounted to the output shaft with one-way bearings that enable the output shaft to rotate in the same direction regardless of whether the left pedal or the right pedal is being pushed forward.

摘要: A swimming enhancement device has a frame and a push bar pivotably coupled to the rear portion of the frame. A left end is rotatably coupled to the left portion of the push bar and a left foot pad is pivotably coupled to the left end. A right end is rotatably coupled to the right portion of the push bar and a right foot pad is pivotably coupled to the right end. A propulsion fin is attached to the push bar or to a tail bar distal end of the push bar. A receiver is movably coupled to the front portion of the frame. A body coupling device is attached to or formed as part of the receiver. The body coupling device is configured to removably attach to a portion of a user's body or be held by the user.

摘要: A human propelled watercraft having a pair of flexible fins extending into the water each adapted to oscillate through an arcuate path in a generally transverse direction with respect to the central longitudinal dimension of said watercraft. Pedals are provided for applying input force whereby as input force is applied, the flexible fins can twist to form an angle of attack for providing forward thrust with respect to the longitudinal dimension of the watercraft while moving in both directions along the arcuate path. The user can pull a lever and cause the fins to rotate 180° and produce thrust in the reverse direction. The fins are able to pivot and swing aft to avoid damage if there is a collision with a submerged object. The fins are more efficient, durable, and adjustable. Simple plastic roller bearings have been adapted to reduce mechanical friction without the need for oil seals.

摘要: A human powered watercraft is disclosed. An exemplary embodiment includes a board body having a top rider surface, a bottom submerged surface, a front section half, a rear section half, a board centerline and a board plane. A leg engagement mechanism is pivotally connected to the board body positioned generally along the rear section half. The leg engagement mechanism engages a rider's legs while laying in a prone position on the top rider surface. A fin propulsion mechanism is pivotally connected to the board body positioned generally below a water line and mechanically coupled to the leg engagement mechanism. Rotating the leg engagement mechanism rotates the fin propulsion mechanism, thus creating a forward thrust.
