The upper mold is engaged with and mounted on the lower mold. A molding cavity is formed between the upper mold and the lower mold. The upper mold has a plurality of upper terminal grooves. Upper portions of the plurality of the terminals are placed in the plurality of the upper terminal grooves.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for processing asbestos-containing steel scrap into useful products, which products can be handled in a safe manner. In accordance with the present invention the asbestos-containing steel scrap is melted in a furnace, which results in destruction of the asbestos fibers. It has been found possible to carry out such a process in an economically feasible manner. In accordance with the invention asbestos-containing steel is heated to high temperature so that the steel melts. As a result the asbestos will be converted into harmless material, which allows for safe handling and processing of the resulting products.

Abstract: A seal for a cable and connector interconnection includes a unitary elastic body with a bore therethrough. The bore is provided with a cable outer diameter seal portion at a cable end, the cable outer diameter seal portion adjacent a connector cavity portion, the connector cavity portion adjacent a coupling nut cavity portion, and the coupling nut cavity portion adjacent a connector neck seal portion with a bulkhead seal at a connector end. The bulk head seal is provided with an outer diameter greater than an outer diameter of the connector neck seal portion.

Abstract: Electrical plugs having single and double insulation as well as the method for manufacturing the double insulating electrical plugs are disclosed. The single insulated electrical plugs have internal walls which electrically isolate the electrical connectors. The single insulated electrical plug has a one-piece body with a central base which accepts the electrical connectors, as well as two covers hingably coupled to the base to secure the connectors in place. The double insulated electrical plugs are insulated by both an inner body as well as the overmold material. The inner body has vents which enable overmold material to be injected into the inner portions of the inner body as well as onto the outside of the inner body. During the manufacturing process, molten material flows over the outside of the inner body, and also flows into the interior of the inner body to provide two layers of electrical insulation.

Abstract: A fabrication method of a plastic-molded lead component is provided, in which leads are aligned at a fine pitch of approximately 100 .mu.m or less with a high accuracy, a simplified process sequence, and a low cost. First, a template having opened V-grooves is prepared. The V-grooves extend along a straight line and are aligned in parallel at a fixed pitch. Second, wire pieces are placed in the respective grooves of the template. Third, the placed pieces of the wire pieces are aligned in parallel on the template at a same pitch as that of the grooves. Fourth, a molding compound is supplied onto the template with or without the use of a mold to bury the aligned wire pieces placed in the grooves. Fifth, the molding compound supplied onto the template is cured to form an encapsulation plastic on the template. The wire pieces placed in the grooves are encapsulated by the encapsulation plastic in such a way that both ends of the wire pieces are exposed from opposite sides of the encapsulation plastic. The encapsulated wire pieces serve as leads. Finally, the template is removed from tie encapsulated wire pieces and the encapsulation plastic. The template is preferably formed by a semiconductor material such as silicon.
