    摘要: A sole assembly is formed by preheating a mold assembly, placing a quantity of rubber in a first portion of a lower recess of a mold assembly; placing a middle plate in contact with a bottom plate, and an upper plate in contact with the middle plate; subjecting the top, middle, and bottom plates to heat to semi-cure the rubber in the lower recess to form an outsole member; separating the top plate, the middle plate, and the bottom plate; placing the top plate in contact with the bottom plate, with polyolefin forming a midsole above the semi-cured rubber; moving the movable insert upwardly with respect to the top plate; subjecting the top and bottom plates to heat such that the polyolefin expands within the sole recess and the polyolefin and rubber in the sole recess fully cure, cross-link, and bond to one another to form a sole assembly; cooling the top and bottom plates; and removing the sole assembly.

    摘要: Device for embedding a thread in a rubber profiled element comprising: a continuous thread feeder arranged on a structure, a moving support able to run along the structure between a raised and a lowered position. A hollow needle, comprising a canal in which the thread runs is fixed by one of its ends to the base of the moving support in the duct, and a tip at its other end capable of penetrating the rubber profiled element, a cutter arranged on the structure, comprising a rotary blade able to cut off the thread at a given distance from the tip of the needle upon each cycle of reciprocating movement of the needle. The cutter comprises a paddle arranged behind the cutting wire of the blade and intended to fold the tail around the tip of the needle just after the thread has been cut by the blade.

These tires are comprised of a generally toroidal-shaped carcass with an outer circumferential tread, two spaced beads, at least one ply extending from bead to bead and sidewalls extending radially from and connecting said tread to said beads, wherein said tread is adapted to be ground-contacting, wherein the tread includes at least one circumferential groove which separates circumferential ribs, each circumferential groove having two sides and a base therebetween, and wherein the sides of each circumferential groove are comprised of a rubbery composition that includes silicate microflakes which are substantially aligned in an orientation which is parallel with the sides of the grooves.
