Abstract: A machining center includes two independent carriages supported so that they can slide along respective longitudinal translation axes by two parallel horizontal rails fixed in a raised position to a supporting structure. The carriages support respective machining heads which can move along two respective translation axes. The machining heads support respective tool holding spindles in a rotatable manner about a horizontal rotation axis (Yr′, Yr″) by virtue of rotary support means. A workpiece holding table is supported at the base of the supporting structure. Two mechanized tool magazines are supported at the opposite longitudinal ends of the supporting structure and are accessible by the spindles. The rotary support and/or the workpiece holding table can rotate about a respective vertical axis.

Abstract: A levelling machine includes a pair of spaced apart rail assemblies, a gantry assembly and a face mill assembly. The spaced apart rail assemblies define an x axis. The gantry assembly is moveably attached to the pair of spaced apart rail assemblies whereby the gantry assembly defines a y axis. The gantry assembly is moveable in the x axis along the pair of spaced apart rail assemblies. The face mill assembly is moveably attached to the gantry assembly and is moveable in the y axis along the gantry assembly. The face mill assembly has a plurality of saw blades, the saw blades being generally in an x-y plane defined by the x axis and y axis. The saw blades have a plurality of teeth that extend downwardly generally in a z axis. The face mill assembly is moveable in the z axis.

Abstract: A hobbing machine is disclosed having a workpiece spindle, by means of which a workpiece can be rotated about a workpiece axis, a hobbing head, at least one chamfering device, a first slide with a first slide guide system, wherein the hobbing head is arranged on the first slide, and a rail system. The first slide, by means of its first slide guide system, is arranged in a displaceable manner on the rail system. The hobbing machine also has a second slide with a second slide guide system. The at least one chamfering device is arranged on the second slide. Also, the second slide, by means of its second slide guide system, is arranged in a displaceable manner on the rail system, such that the first slide and the second slide can be displaced on an identical portion of the rail system. Presented is a structurally simple hobbing machine by means of which a workpiece can be hobbed and chamfered in a short period of time.
