Abstract:
The carriage attachment includes a sheet metal frame bent to have a flat deck and angled splash guard. Two wheels are mounted on either side of the carriage frame. A spray nozzle is fitted underneath the carriage deck and a quick release coupling is used to connect the carriage attachment to the wand of a power washer. The wheels can be mounted to the carriage frame at different positions to adjust the height of the nozzle over the surface being cleaned. The carriage attachment allows the operator to maintain an upright posture while cleaning ground surfaces using a relaxed sweeping motion. The carriage attachment reduces operator fatigue by allowing the operator to simply guide the movement of the carriage attachment over the surface without having to stabilize the extension wand under the force of the pressurized water stream.
Abstract:
An irrigation system for conveying a fluid is provided. The irrigation system comprises a first irrigator span having a first end and extending to a distal end. A first drive system moves the first irrigator span. A second irrigator span extends from the distal end of the first irrigator span. A second drive system moves the second irrigator span. An alignment mechanism interconnects the first irrigator span and the second irrigator span to maintain alignment between the first and second irrigator spans within a predetermined limit. One of the drive systems is variable speed and the alignment mechanism includes a potentiometer for measuring the magnitude of misalignment between the first and second irrigator spans. The potentiometer is used to vary the speed of one of the drive systems to realign the first and second irrigator spans to maintain the predetermined limit.
Abstract:
An apparatus for watering plants has a movable beam carrying several valves for dispersing water. At least some of the valves include a mechanism for sensing water flow and a regulator for adjusting the degree of opening of the valve until the actual flow corresponds to a selected flow value which is determined by a central control unit.
Abstract:
A drop-on-demand liquid emission device, such as for example an ink jet printer, includes a member movable through a path for driving liquid from the device, wherein the speed at which the member moves is reduced over the time period that liquid is being expelled. During that time period, a portion of the liquid flows through a passage away from the nozzle orifice. According to a feature of the present invention, a variable flow restrictor increases the resistance to flow through the passage during the time period that liquid is being expelled; thereby tending to compensate for the reduction of the liquid-expulsion force over the time period. The result is a reduction of undesirable satellite droplets following a main drop.
Abstract:
A slit type blow nozzle 14 for ejecting a blow gas 1 and a slit type chemical rinse nozzle 12 for ejecting a rinse chemical 2 are arranged such that the blow gas removes a coating film dissolved by the chemical rinse from the end surface of a glass substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a tire assembly for irrigation systems that prevents the formation of ruts caused by repeated travel along a path by tires of a mobile vehicle or structure. The tire assembly includes dual tires with a flexible belt member wrapped around the outer periphery of the two tires having a plurality of cleat members located on the outer surface of the flexible belt member. The cleat members direct water away from the center of the travel path. The flexible belt member further includes plural center guides to keep the belt in place. The tire assembly reduces soil compaction by providing a greater ground engaging surface area to more evenly distribute the weight of the equipment and by directing water away from the center of the travel path.
Abstract:
A nozzle provided with a plurality of discharge apertures in line for discharging a resist solution as a coating solution toward a top surface of a substrate G held by a holding plate is provided at a lower portion of a main body of a coating head. The resist solution is simultaneously discharged from the plurality of discharge apertures while the nozzle is scan-moved in a direction orthogonal to an arranging direction of the discharge apertures. With the above configuration, the disadvantage of the coating solution dropping or the like is eliminated, the waste of the coating solution is avoided, and in addition, the time taken to perform coating processing is reduced.
Abstract:
The apparatus is designed to dispense sealants and adhesives onto a workpiece in a robotic or manual application. The apparatus has a motor, a through shaft and a rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is hollow and has an off-center aperture at the end thereof through which extends one end of the through shaft. By rotating the rotating shaft, the end of the through shaft has imparted to it an orbital motion which is capable of providing a swirl type pattern onto the workpiece.
Abstract:
A self-propelled irrigation machine including an elongated main boom pivoted at one end to a center pivot and supported on a plurality of self-propelled, non-steerable drive units. An extension boom is pivotally secured to the other end of the main boom for irrigating corner areas of the field. A steerable drive tower supports the extension boom and includes a pair of steerable drive wheels. The guidance and control for the extension boom includes a UWB receiver and a computer positioned on the steerable drive tower for receiving and processing UWB information as to the location of the steerable drive tower and for determining the optimal steer angle for the steerable drive wheels relative to the movement of the main boom. At least one UWB transmitters are located within receiving range of the UWB receiver. Signals transmitted by the UWB transmitters are received by the UWB receiver on the steerable drive unit and are used to determine current location and optimal steer angles relative to the main boom.
Abstract:
A fluid delivery device for delivering fluid to the backside of a substrate while minimizing waste. The device includes an inner cylindrical tube having a top opening and a bottom opening. An upper cap overlying a top portion of the inner cylindrical tube is included. The upper cap is moveably disposed over the inner cylindrical tube. The upper cap includes a top with at least one hole defined therein. The top includes a sidewall extending therefrom. A system and a method for reducing an amount of a cleaning chemistry applied to a backside of a wafer during a cleaning operation are also provided.
