摘要: A liquid phase catalytic exchange column with a catalyst is configured to receive hydrogen gas. The system uses the catalyst to exchange the hydrogen gas with the tritiated source yielding HT gas and tritiated water. The system monitors tritium content of the tritiated water. When a predetermined tritium level is detected, the tritiated water is released. The system also includes a gaseous permeation system comprising a permeable barrier for the selective extraction of gases.

摘要: Disclosed herein are embodiments of a method for producing thorium-226. The method comprises separating thorium-226 from uranium-230 to produce a solution of thorium-226 in a solvent, such as a chelating buffer, suitable for direct labeling by a chelate. The thorium-226 may be separated from the uranium-230 using extraction chromatography. The extraction may be repeated multiple times as additional thorium-226 is produced by uranium-230 decay.

摘要: A simple, low temperature process for separating uranium isotopes and producing substantially pure uranium isotope fractions from a crude uranium isotope-containing aqueous feed stock is provided. A uranium isotope-containing solution is fed to an anion exchange resin in a continuously rotating annular chromatograph as a suitable eluant is also simultaneously fed to the rotating chromatograph. A Uranium 235, a Uranium 238 and an impurity fraction are recovered from the chromatograph. The substantially pure uranium 235 and uranium 238 fractions may be subjected to further processing, preferably precipitation with ammonium hydroxide to produce ammonium diuranate, and then calcining to form uranium oxide rich in the desired isotope.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for accomplishing specific chromatographic separation of lactose from milk. Milk is treated in a column with a cation exchange resin balanced in such a manner that its cationic composition corresponds to the cationic composition of milk at a temperature of about 50.degree. to about 80.degree. C., and the column is eluted with water to recover a protein containing fraction and lactose fraction.

摘要: An isotope separation apparatus comprises a plurality of independent developing units, each comprising 2 to 20 adsorbent-packed columns forming a continuous developing circuit or passageway, and the developing units are connected to at least one common main pipe for supplying an isotope mixture solution, a regenerating agent solution, or an eluent solution. Also, in a further embodiment the developing units are connected to common liquid-discharge main pipes.The separation or concentration of isotopes such as uranium isotopes, nitrogen isotopes, boron isotopes, etc., is performed by continuously developing the isotope mixture solution passed through the individual adsorbent-packed columns successively in each developing units.

摘要: Uranium-235 is efficiently concentrated using a solution containing uranium-238 and uranium-235 by passing a solution containing uranium (VI) complex anions through a body of an anion exchange material to adsorb uranium (VI) complex anions on a portion of the anion exchange material and then passing a solution of a reducing agent through the anion exchange material thus retaining uranium in the form of the uranium (VI) complex anions to elute the uranium ions while reducing the uranium (VI) complex anions to uranium (IV) complex ions.
