Abstract:
Harvesting device of an agricultural harvesting machine, comprising a housing (17), comprising at least one rotatably driven apparatus (15) which has a shaft (18) and is rotatably mounted by the shaft (18) relative to the housing (17) about the longitudinal axis (19) thereof, comprising a sealing disk (21) which acts on the housing (17) and which is fixed relative to the shaft (18) for sealing the housing (17) relative to the shaft (18) in the region of a feed-through of the shaft (18) through the housing (17), wherein the sealing disk (21) has a through-passage (22) for the feed-through of the shaft (18), wherein when viewed in the radial direction of the shaft (18) a slide bearing joint bush (25) is arranged between the shaft (18) and the sealing disk (21).
Abstract:
A bearing assembly engaged with an end of a rotatable shaft. The assembly includes a hub defining a first bore extending between a first opening at a first end of the hub and a second opening at a second end of the hub. A bearing sleeve engaged in the first bore defines a second bore. The shaft's end is inserted through a first opening in the second bore. A sealed bearing located between the bearing sleeve and the hub's interior surface enables relative rotation therebetween. A first sealing mechanism seals the first bore's first opening and a second sealing mechanism seals the second openings of both of the first and second bores. The first sealing mechanism includes an L-shaped ring circumscribing the bearing sleeve and a rubber sealing member. The second sealing mechanism includes a hemispherical region and flange secured to the hub by a retaining ring.
Abstract:
A scraper employs a support arm for mounting to a frame of an agricultural implement and a frustoconically bowl-shaped scraper member rotatably supported on the support arm in a position facing the open end of the bowl toward a ground-engaging wheel or disc. Different embodiment disclose unique mounting arrangements, including embodiments where a bearing has its outer race affixed to a closed end wall of the bowl, a bushing is fastened between the inner race of the bearing and a support arm situated outside the bowl to support the bowl in a manner rotatable about the bushing at an axial distance from the support arm, and a separate outer sleeve is disposed around the bushing in a freely rotatable manner to prevent wrapped straw accumulation between the bowl and the support arm during rotating use of the scraper.
Abstract:
An agricultural tillage implement includes a frame member and at least one rolling basket assembly coupled to the frame member. The rolling basket assembly has at least one bearing hanger, at least one rolling basket and at least one bearing assembly rotationally coupling the rolling basket to the bearing hanger. The bearing assembly has a bearing with an inner ring and a spindle holding the inner ring. The spindle is coupled to the bearing hanger. The spindle being configured to accommodate dynamic misalignment of the bearing.
Abstract:
A suspension unit for an agricultural implement, the suspension unit includes a bearing unit. The bearing unit contains an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve which is rotatable relative to said inner sleeve, and a friction-reducing member arranged between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve. The suspension unit further includes a spring element, arranged radially outside the outer sleeve, and a holder which forms a spring chamber in which the spring element is accommodated. The spring element is fixed in the spring chamber between a circumferential, radially outwardly open groove, which is integrated with the outer sleeve, and a radially inwardly open groove, which surrounds the outer sleeve.
Abstract:
Provided is a split shaft with a setting adjustment, including a first part and a second part with threaded cylindrical sections, that may optionally also optionally include a sleeve to interconnect the first and second parts by threading. Also provided is a shaft-hub unit, which includes the split shaft and a cylindrical hub with two couplable parts. Use of the split shaft and shaft-hub unit in cutting disks of planters and subsoilers, as well as in wheels of planters, is also described.
Abstract:
A hub-bearing assembly is disclosed, wherein the hub-bearing assembly is used for rotatably mounting a tilling disc about an axis of rotation is disclosed. The hub-bearing assembly comprises an annular hub comprising an axially extending tubular portion defining a cylindrical housing and an outer flange for mounting a disc, a bearing unit mounted in the housing, and an elastic damping body arranged in the housing and radially interposed between the hub and an outer ring of the bearing unit.
Abstract:
A scraper for mounting to a tool bar of a farm implement having at least one rotating disk for tilling soil, including a support mounted to the tool bar and a shaft pivotally attached to and extending from the support where the shaft has a central axis. A scraper blade is rotatably attached to an end of the shaft and the scraper blade comprises a perimeter wherein the shaft pivots to rotatably engage a side surface of the rotating disk to prevent soil from accumulating on the side surface and prevents debris from accumulating between the side surface and the scraper blade.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a rotating, disc-shaped, agricultural tool which is mounted in a frame of a machine via a hub and a bearing arrangement. The bearing arrangement is distinguished by the fact that it is formed from two angular roller bearings which are set in back-to-back arrangement and whose raceways are arranged inclined at an angle to a bearing axis, wherein a space accommodation the angular roller bearings is defined on the outside in the radial direction by a hub body, of V-shaped design in its centre part and having contact surfaces, and on the inside in the radial direction by a supporting ring having spaced-apart contact surfaces on both sides in the axial direction, wherein the hub body is provided at an axial end with a fastening element for fastening the tool. In this way, a captive bearing unit is provided which is already provided with the appropriate prestress and which only needs to be connected to the agricultural tool and to the frame by the end user, i.e. by the manufacturer of an agricultural machine.
Abstract:
A support for a disc narrow assembly wherein a standard ball bearing unit is utilized and is encased in a housing formed of opposing mirror image bushings which are further enclosed by a pair of opposing mirror image flange members that are releasably affixed to a vehicle carrier.
