    摘要: Embodiments herein relate to a wheelchair gearshift arrangement (10), which comprises an axle tube (20) and a pair of wheel attachment adaptors (30) inserted into a respective end (21, 22) of the axle tube (20). The wheel attachment adaptors (30) further includes a respective axle sleeve (40) adapted to receive and hold a respective wheel axle (51) of a respective complete wheelchair wheel (50). Each complete wheelchair wheel (50) having a respective wheel axle centric, axially translatable, gear change mechanism (52). One or more gear change actuators (80) are arranged within the axle tube (20) such that they are operative to selectively, upon user manipulation of an associated gear selector (60), axially translate the associated gear change mechanisms (52) of the respective complete wheelchair wheels (50). Such translation will affect a change of gear ratio between a push-rim (55) and wheel-rim (56) of each respective complete wheelchair wheel (50).

    摘要: A bicycle operating device is provided with a base member, a brake operating lever and a shift operating lever. The shift operating lever moves from a rest position in a second direction to perform a gear shift operation in response to operation of the shift operating lever by the user. The shift operating lever has a handlebar engagement portion that is moved by a handlebar of the bicycle relative to the brake operating lever in a third direction toward the brake operating lever to move closer to the brake operating lever when the brake operating lever is pivoted in the first direction by the user. The third direction is a non-shifting direction that is different from the first and second directions. The shift operating lever does not perform the gear shifting operation when moved in the third direction by the handlebar of the bicycle.

    摘要: A shifting apparatus for controlling a change gear device winding or unwinding a cable. The shifting apparatus essentially includes a control member rotatable about a handlebar, a takeup drum for winding the cable thereon, a positioning mechanism for retains the takeup element in each angular position, and an indicator for indicating a speed stage of the change gear device. The indicator is formed separately from the control member and takeup drum, and has an axis different from a rotational axis of the control member. The indicator may be installed in any desired orientation determined freely without regard to orientations of the control member and takeup drum. The shifting apparatus, therefore, has the indicator which is small but easy to see.

To accommodate the varying cable pull requirements of an index shifting system, the cable winding surface of the takeup element has a nonuniform shape.
