摘要: An electric drive device includes an electric motor and a speed reducer. The electric motor includes a rotor, a stator, an electrical power converter and a motor housing. The electrical power converter is electrically connected to stator windings of the stator and is configured to supply an electric current to the stator windings. The motor housing receives the rotor, the stator and the electrical power converter. The speed reducer includes: a motor-side rotatable body that is coupled to a shaft of the rotor; and a drive-side rotatable body. The speed reducer is configured to reduce a rotational speed of the drive-side rotatable body relative to a rotational speed of the motor-side rotatable body. The motor housing and the speed reducer are integrally formed together.

The brake assembly includes a cable adjuster coupled to the brake cable assembly, where the cable adjuster is enclosed by the brake cable housing. The brake cable housing provides an access port to access the cable tension adjuster.

摘要: A front wheel and a rear wheel are to be provided at a grounding frame. A body frame is mounted on the grounding frame and includes a mount at which a seat is to be provided. A relative position between the grounding frame and the body frame in a height direction of a wheelchair is changed via a height adjustment mechanism. The height adjustment mechanism includes an adjustment pole, a pole reception, and a holding portion. The adjustment pole extends along the height direction and is mounted on one of the body frame and the grounding frame. The pole reception is mounted on another of the body frame and the grounding frame and is engaged with the adjustment pole slidably in the height direction. The holding portion is to hold not to relatively move the adjustment pole with respect to the pole reception.

Such functions include automatically turning on a brake, automatically turning on one or more lights, detecting when a patient associated with the person support apparatus has fallen, enabling a propulsion system of the patient support apparatus to be used, automatically controlling one or more environmental controls, and/or automatically arming an exit detection system after entry of a patient onto the person support apparatus. Multiple thermal images may be generated from multiple sensors to generate stereoscopic thermal images of portions of the person support apparatus and its surroundings.

The support arrangement includes a platform, a chassis attached to the platform, a pair of wheel assemblies movably coupled to the chassis, and the activation mechanism. The pair of wheel assemblies are operable between a first state and a second state. The activation mechanism includes a track having a first stable position and a second stable position spaced along a length of the track, and a pin configured to travel along the track. Wheels are in the first state when the pin is in the first stable position and are in the second state when the pin is in the second stable position.

The sensor is arranged such that tipping of the frame causes actuation of the stabilizing system to at least partially resist further movement of the frame.

摘要: A braking mechanism operably engaging at least one wheel where the mechanism is capable of transitioning the at least one wheel between unlocked and locked states is provided. The braking mechanism includes a flipper and a cam. The flipper is adapted to move in X, Y and Z-directions and includes a discontinuous track having an open slot portion and a surface path portion. The open slot portion includes a home position and an engaged position. The cam includes a pin which cooperatively moves along the discontinuous track. When the at least one wheel is in an unlocked state, the pin is in the home position and when the at least one wheel is in a locked state, the pin is in the engaged position.

摘要: A wheeled medical device—such as a cot, stretcher, bed, wheeled chair, or other medical device—includes a pole on which is mounted a removable topper. The topper may include a plurality of IV hooks used to support an IV bag. The hooks may be defined in an endless ribbon that is circular, or that is another closed shape. No prongs, hooks, or other projections extend outwardly from the topper, thereby reducing the potential dangerousness of accidental impacts with the topper. Whether the topper includes hooks or not, it may also be used as an information communication medium, such as through the use of colors, shapes, or other structures that signify certain information. The information may identify characteristics of the patient associated with the medical device or characteristics of the medical device itself, or still other information.
