    摘要： A drilling system includes a stationary base table for supporting a work piece under process at a fixed position at a drilling spindle station. A drilling spindle carries and applies rotational force to a drilling tool. A compound overhead guiding system carries the spindle above the work piece under process. The overhead guiding system includes a Y drive system for moving the spindle along a Y axis in relation to the base table, and an X drive system for driving the spindle along an X axis. The guiding system has a lightweight laminated crossbeam structure for carrying the spindle and X axis drive system.

    摘要： An apparatus for making temporary road mats characterized by multiple layers of mutually perpendicular elongated timbers having an array of vertical intersections aligned in lateral rows. The apparatus includes a pair of assembly tables spaced along an assembly line on a work floor. Each table has an upper layout surface spaced vertically above the work floor and provides a work bay therebelow. The layout surface having indicia for orienting the discrete timbers in each layer whereby the timber may be roughly assembled. A gang drill moves in a longitudinal path along the assembly line with respect to the assembly tables. The gang drill carries a plurality of drills for sequentially drilling the lateral rows of intersections. The gang drill alternates between tables while manual assembly operations are conducted at the other table.

The tools are exchanged between tool magazine (32) and spindle box (24) by means of the pick-up process.

    摘要： A multiple spindle drilling machine can simultaneously drill a plurality of bores for inserting the rivets or the bolts through the web and a pair of flanges of wide flange beams which are used in building and construction by a first, second and third drilling assembly. A supporting device mounted on the upper side of a machine table which stops the wide flange beam is fed by a feeding device thereon and supports it at a predetermined drilling position. The first drilling assembly is mounted so as to be movable toward the vertical direction from the upper position of the machine table and has multi-drills for drilling a plurality of bores through the web of the wide flange beam. The second and third drilling assemblies are mounted so as to be movable toward the horizontal direction from both of the side positions of the machine table and have multi-drills for drilling a plurality of bores through both flanges of the wide flange beam.
