    摘要: A joint structure for a power transmitting member includes a fiber reinforced plastic and a joint. The joint includes a joint portion for joining to an end portion of the tube, and a sealing portion formed on an end of the tube side of the joint portion. The joint portion and the sealing portion are disposed in an interior of the tube. A liquid packing compound is provided for sealing the tube and the joint. The liquid packing compound fills at least an area between the sealing portion and the tube. The sealing portion has a tapered surface, whose diameter increases toward the end of the tube. Thereby, when the joint portion is joined to the end of the tube, a clearance between the tube and the joint portion is entirely filled with the liquid packing compound.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for making an inner conductor from a conductive body integrally forms a flange on one end of the conductive body. The flange is formed integral to the conductive body by flaring the end of the conductive body. The size and shape of the flange is selected to achieve a desired capacitance surface area for use in a resonator. A resonator housing that has a plurality of cavities can be provided with a plurality of conductive bodies that are inserted into holes located in a bottom wall of the resonator body and that protrude into the plurality of cavities. The resonator housing and conductive bodies are placed onto a flanging fixture to produce a flange on each conductive body of a desired size and shape to achieve a desired capacitance surface area. The plurality of conductive bodies can be simultaneously flanged and fastened to the base of the resonator housing.

Then the die 25 is advanced toward the reception die 26 along the rod 4, urging the collar blank 23 into its forming bore 27, causing the inner diameter portion of the blank 23 to enter into the annular groove 21 by a plastic flow. Subsequently by a further advancement of the die 25, an annular projection 29 formed at the bottom surface of the forming bore 27 is driven into the end surface of the collar blank 23 to cause the blank to 23 plastically flow further into the annular groove 21.
