The ultrasonic nebulizer module is constructed to be immersed in water within the ultrasonic nebulizer assembly and is readily replaceable by the user. A nebulizer hour timer is provided to monitor the length of time of the ultrasonic nebulizer is operating to provide a precise indication to the user of how much life is left in the ultrasonic nebulizer before it needs to be replaced.

Various embodiments are described for humidifying an air stream in a duct are described. In one form the duct is part of a humidification system in a building such as a residence or commercial structure while in another form the duct is part of a standalone unit. The described embodiments use ultrasonic elements for generating a mist composed of droplets and fog and the fog is drawn or pushed by an air stream towards a duct. The duct utilizes a dispersal structure formed of one or a plurality of tubes with openings and distributed at least partly across the duct so that the air stream in the duct can entrain the fog and distribute this in manner whereby the fog can quickly dissipate and evaporate for humidification of the air stream.

Disclosed is a nebulizer mounted to an ultrasonic humidifier. In the nebulizer, a heat sink holder can be directly connected to one side of a bottom plate in the humidifier, by using a flange provided at the upper end portion of the heat sink holder to which a heat sink for irradiating the heat generated in a PCB outward is mounted. Further, a vibrator assembled with the heat sink can be easily separated and replaced, because the heat sink is stacked on and assembled with the heat sink holder. Furthermore, the size of the ultrasonic humidifier is reduced, because a water level sensor is assembled and integrated with the upper surface of the heat sink. Furthermore, the durability of a vibrator as well as the heat sink is improved, because the heat sink is made of brass coated with a nickel plating layer.

First and second idle pulleys are immersed in the water contained in the ultrasonic humidifying vessel. A humidifying endless belt trains around the driving, the first idle, and the second idle pulleys. The portion of the humidifying endless belt around the driving pulley is heated by the heating coil, thereby generating steam, and the portions of the humidifying endless belt around the first and second idle pulleys are immersed in the water contained in the ultrasonic humidifying vessel, so that it absorbs water. The humidifying endless belt receives the water droplets from a mist conduit tube, reducing the noise caused by the dropping of the water droplets. The air fed is introduced into the ultrasonic humidifying vessel. The bacteria in the mist are destroyed when the mist meets the hot steam generated by the heating coil or passes by the heating coil. The mist is mixed together with the steam in the mist conduit tube, and is vented.
