    摘要: An electronic device in which a vibration generator is attached to a panel allows further improvement in sound pressure characteristics. An electronic device (1) includes a housing (60), a panel (10) held by the housing (60), a vibration generator (30) attached to the panel (10), and a sheet member (80) between the housing (60) and the panel (10). The panel (10) deforms due to deformation of the vibration generator (30) to transmit human body vibration sound to an object that contacts the panel (10). A first portion of the sheet member (80) is joined to the panel (10), and a second portion of the sheet member (80) differing from the first portion is joined to the housing (60). Between the first portion and the second portion, the sheet member (80) includes an area to which neither the panel (10) nor the housing (60) is attached.

    摘要: The invention relates to audio transducers, such as loudspeaker, microphones and the like, and includes improvements in or relating to hinge systems for rotational action audio transducers. The hinge systems of the invention being configured to operatively support a diaphragm in use, and comprising a hinge assembly having one or more hinge joints, wherein each hinge joint comprises a hinge element and a contact member. The contact member comprises a contact surface and the configuration is such that during operation each hinge joint is configured to allow the hinge element to move relative to the associated contact member, while maintaining a substantially consistent physical contact with the contact surface. The hinge assembly biases the hinge element towards the contact surface. Preferably the hinge assembly is configured to apply a biasing force to the hinge element of each joint toward the associated contact surface, compliantly. Various applications and implementations are described and envisaged for the audio transducer embodiments including, for example, personal audio devices such as headphones, earphones and the like.

    摘要: A loudspeaker enclosure defined by one or more panels housing a drive unit. The drive unit includes a coil, a diaphragm, and a magnet. The magnet is decoupled from the one or more panels of the loudspeaker enclosure. Sound is generated by the movement of the diaphragm and complementary movement of the magnet, on application of an appropriate electrical signal to the coil. The moving diaphragm acts against a first volume of air within the enclosure, while the movement of a surface coupled to the magnet, acts against a second air volume, different from the first volume. The surface coupled to the magnet is decoupled from the one or more panels of the loudspeaker enclosure.

    摘要: A magnetic circuit includes a magnet, a first plate, and a yoke, and has a magnetic gap. The first plate and the yoke are joined to the magnet. The magnet includes first and second magnet parts. The second magnet part has a lower magnetic property than that of the first magnet part. Such a first magnet part is disposed in a vicinity of the magnetic gap. On the other hand, the second magnet part is disposed farther from the magnetic gap than the first magnet part. The first and second magnet parts are connected in parallel to each other. With this configuration, the second magnet part makes a small contribution to the magnetic flux density in the magnetic gap. Therefore, the magnetic property of the second magnet part may be low, and an inexpensive magnet can be used as the second magnet part.

    摘要: A plurality of magnetostrictive elements made of ferrite or the like are arranged in a matrix on an upper surface of a circuit board. On the periphery of each of the magnetostrictive elements, a voice coil is arranged. When current flows to the voice coils, the magnetostrictive elements themselves expand and contract in their center axis direction (height direction), and whereby ultrasonic waves (carrier waves) are emitted into the air from the magnetostrictive elements themselves. Since the magnetostrictive elements made of ferrite or the like are used, power consumption can be reduced, compared with the case of using piezoelectric vibrators. Also, the magnetostrictive elements can be made resistant to damage even if subjected to an impact due to falling or the like. Accordingly, in a parametric speaker using ultrasonic waves as carrier waves, power consumption can be reduced and vibrating elements can be made resistant to impact damage.
