摘要: A method, system, and program for managing network errors communicated in a message transaction with error information using a troubleshooting agent. A network facilitates message transactions between a requester and a responder for facilitating web services. When a non-application specific error occurs in relation to a particular message transaction, such as a network error, a protocol layer assigns an error code and either the requester or responder encodes the error code in the body of an envelope added to the particular message transaction. In particular, the message transaction is an XML message with a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) envelope encoded with the error code to which the XML message is then attached. The error encoded message transaction is forwarded to a troubleshooting agent. The troubleshooting agent facilitates resolution of the non-application specific error and returns a descriptive message indicating the resolution of the non-application specific error to at least one of the requester and the responder.

摘要: This method of managing malfunctions in a telecommunications network is implemented in a router having a plurality of communication interfaces and a nominal operational routing plan that is duplicated on its interfaces. The method comprises the following steps that are performed during nominal operation: a step of calculating a secondary operational routing plan for degraded modes of operation; and a step of transferring secondary plans to each of the interfaces; and in the event of a malfunction being detected, a step of causing all of the interfaces to switch from the nominal plan to a secondary plan that corresponds to the degraded mode of operation that results from the detected malfunction.

摘要: Technology for rerouting a data stream in a communication circuit switched mesh network comprising one or more cross-connecting nodes, the data stream comprises a plurality of data frames each associated with at least one overhead byte, and the rerouting is performed by using a path identifier while switching the data stream at one or more cross-connecting nodes; the path identifier is carried by at least one overhead byte associated with at least one of the data frames.

摘要: A method for re-configuring a network element of a transmission network to restore traffic after occurrence of a failure is proposed. Each configuration request is divided into two phases: At first a “fetch-ahead” phase and then a “consolidation”. During fetch-ahead, only configuration steps essential for fast implementation of a new cross-connection are performed and security related configuration steps skipped thereby providing reduced security against process restarts. During consolidation, those previously skipped security related configuration steps are then executed and the changes made persistent.

摘要: There is provided a system and method of disaster restoration of service of damaged or destroyed telecommunication network elements. A controller component is configured to select a damaged or destroyed network element after a disaster event. An engine component is configured to establish connectivity to an alternative network element and to transmit the service continuity data associated with the damaged or destroyed network element from a computer readable storage. The engine component is configured to execute one or more computer commands to the alternative network element so as to operate it with the service continuity data of damaged or destroyed network element. A restoration service package is transmitted to a replacement network element and instructed to use that service package to re-acquire the original network element's identity and provisioning information in order to restore the traffic that originally existed on the damaged or destroyed network element.
