摘要: An imaging system with an array of pixel cell units having four photodiodes sharing the same readout amplifier, row select transistor, microlens and filter color. Some pixel cell units provide a phase detection autofocus function. The imaging system provides the option of imaging with phase detection autofocus and with or without horizontal or vertical binning readout modes, or both simultaneously, to form an a full resolution image of the target scene with improved effective frame rate and improved slow motion imaging.

摘要: To reduce power consumption in a solid-state image pickup element that performs pixel addition. A solid-state image pickup element includes: a predetermined number of blocks, each of which is provided with a plurality of normal pixels arranged in a predetermined direction; and a light shielding area in which the predetermined number of light shielding pixels are arranged in the predetermined direction, the light shielding pixels being connected to the respective blocks. A scanning circuit is configured to control each of the plurality of normal pixels in the block so that the block transfers electric charge to the light shielding pixel corresponding to the block. A signal processing unit is provided, for each of the light shielding pixels, with a signal processing circuit configured to process a signal generated by the light shielding pixel on the basis of the transferred electric charge.

A floating interconnection line connecting FDs (floating diffusions) each set in a unit of shared pixels including at least one or more pixels, the FDs being provided in each column having a predetermined column number, and a switch changing over between connection and disconnection of the floating interconnection line to and from the FDs are provided. In addition, the switch changes over between the connection and the disconnection between the FDs and the floating interconnection line in response to a resolution that is a low resolution. The present disclosure can be applied to a solid-state imaging device.

摘要: An image processing method is provided. The method is configured to process the color-block image output by the image sensor. The high-frequency region of the color-block image is determined. A part of the color-block image within the high-frequency region is converted into a first image using a first interpolation algorithm. A part of the color-block image beyond the high-frequency region is converted into a second image using a second interpolation algorithm. The complexity of the second interpolation algorithm is less than that of the first interpolation algorithm. The first image and the second image are merged into a simulation image corresponding to the color-block image. An image processing apparatus and an electronic device are provided.

As signals of pixels in a first pixel row, the first, the second, and the third digital signals are input from a memory unit to output signal lines. As signals of pixels in a second pixel row adjacent to the first pixel row of a pixel unit in the row direction, the second and the third digital signals are input from the memory unit to the output signal lines while the first digital signal is not output.

In one aspect, a method is performed at a video camera device and includes, while operating in an HDR mode: (1) capturing video data of a scene, including: (a) capturing a first subset of the video data with a first exposure time; and (b) capturing a second subset of the video data with a second exposure time, lower than the first exposure time; (2) combining video data of the first subset with video data of the second subset to generate an HDR frame; and (3) adjusting a duration of at least one of the first exposure time and the second exposure time based on one or more parameters of the captured video data, thereby altering a ratio of the first exposure time to the second exposure time.

摘要: The deterioration of image quality due to the mixture of light during pixel mixture is prevented. A filter that transmits a green light component is formed on a light receiving surface of a photoelectric conversion element and a filter that transmits a red light component is formed on a light receiving surface of a photoelectric conversion element. Light which is vertically incident on the filter is incident on the corresponding photoelectric conversion element. However, light which is obliquely incident on the filter is mixed with a photoelectric conversion element adjacent to the corresponding photoelectric conversion element. When pixel mixture is performed, mixed pixel data is reduced from the data of a mixed pixel to perform mixture correction.
