Abstract:
A method of scanning a document uses a document scanning device having a case which defines a cavity and has a docking location on a first side and a document platform on a second opposed side. The method includes steps of inserting an electronic image capturing device into the docking location, inserting a document to be scanned onto the document platform, activating a camera on the electronic image capturing device, and capturing an image of the document. Once the document image has been captured, the method may also include a further step of transmitting the image to another location, using a communications network.
Abstract:
A document camera comprises a base; a camera head; a camera positioned in the camera head for capturing images of documents and other objects; a flexible neck connecting the camera head to the base and permitting the camera head to be moved relative to the base; a sensor for sensing a position or orientation of the camera head relative to the base; and a control device responsive to the sensor for selecting an operating parameter of the document camera based on the position or orientation of the camera head.
Abstract:
A visual presenter includes a base, first and second column supports and a video camera head. The base has an upper surface formed with an accommodation recess located substantially at a central part of the upper surface. When the column supports and the camera head are in respective accommodation positions, the second column support and the video camera head are configured to lie along a front surface of the first column support. The column supports and the video camera head are configured to be accommodated in the accommodation recess. Upper surfaces of the second column support and the vide camera head are substantially co-planar with an upper surface of the base.

Abstract:
Embodiments of scan stand systems or kits for positioning a document or other object to be imaged or scanned in relation to an imaging device are described. Also described are embodiments of systems for video conferencing/telephony/scanning and optical projection functions.
Abstract:
A document camera and its light box are provided in the disclosure. The light box includes a base, a light guiding plate embedded in the base, and a light source device movably disposed on the base. The light guiding plate has a light input face and a light output face which are both light transmissive from the base. When the light source device is moved to face the light input face, the light source device provides lights outwards the light guiding plate via the light input face, otherwise, when the light source device is moved away from the light input face, the light source device provides light to the light output face down wards.
Abstract:
A document presentation device comprising an imaging unit that takes images of documents and a display unit that displays the images of documents taken by the imaging unit.
Abstract:
A visual presenter includes a base, a column support standing on the base and having a distal end, the column support including an upright part standing upright from the base and a horizontal part that is continuous from the upright part and extends horizontally ahead of the base, the camera head being adapted to image a material placed on an installation surface for the presenter, and a plurality of legs which are mounted on an underside of the base so that one of the legs is located at a predetermined position spaced backward from a front of the base by a predetermined distance. The legs extend in a direction perpendicular to the underside of the base so that an imaging area of the camera head on the installation surface is enlarged so as to cover an area immediately before an installation point of the leg.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a portable magnifier camera that can be selectively positioned into a variety of configurations. At least four distinct viewing configurations are provided: a reading mode wherein the camera rests flatly upon the viewed object; a writing mode wherein the camera rests at an angle upon the viewed object; a hand-held mode wherein the user holds the camera relative to a distant object; and an inspection mode wherein the user holds the viewed object relative to the camera. These configurations enable a user to effectively view objects of differing size and at varying distances.
Abstract:
An imaging apparatus includes an arm unit that is configured to be inclinable to a table. The imaging apparatus varies the extent of inclination to change an imaging attitude of the video camera between a faraway imaging attitude that is most distant from the table surface and a nearby imaging attitude that is most close to the table surface. When the imaging attitude of the video camera is changed as above, an illumination link mechanism in the imaging apparatus causes a swing motion of a first group of illumination LED and changes a spot to be illuminated by the first group of illumination LED in compliance with the change of the imaging location of the video camera, which changes the imaging attitude.
