摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a receiving unit, a determining unit, and a transmission controller. The receiving unit receives a notification to inquire about a state of a user of the information processing apparatus, which is portable, from a different information processing apparatus. If the notification is received by the receiving unit, the determining unit determines whether communication from the other information processing apparatus is acceptable in the state of the user. If the determination unit determines that the communication from the other information processing apparatus is not acceptable in the state of the user, the transmission controller controls transmission so as not to transmit the state of the user.

摘要: Incoming calls are received from audio capable devices. A call processing server receives an incoming call from an audio-capable device to a destination number, and detects availability for an ancillary source device linked to the audio-capable device. A set of data is provided to the ancillary source device. The set of data specifies graphical menu options for functions supported by the call processing server. The ancillary source device provides an indication of a selection of one of the graphical menu options. In response to the indication, a call transfer for the incoming call is implemented.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for generating an electronic communication response for a mobile electronic device in an offline state. A communication server detects various offline conditions, such as explicitly powered off, low/dead battery, dead zone location, and/or other reasons. A sending electronic device, attempting to establish communication with a receiving electronic device that is offline receives an automated reply message from the communication server, indicating that the intended receiving electronic device is offline. In embodiments, an estimated online restoration time for the receiving electronic device is derived and included in the automated reply message. Additionally, a reason for the offline condition such as explicitly powered off, low/dead battery, dead zone location, and/or other reason may also be included in the automated reply message.

In a first aspect of the invention a method of setting up a voice call between a first party and a second party is provided. 摘要: A system and method for establishing communications enables an outbound communication to be made simultaneously across a plurality of different communications platforms. The system is configured to perform the following: receive from a user, a first request to establish an electronic communication with a contact; identify via the details of contacts stored in a storage device, a contact identifier of the contact for each of a plurality of the different electronic communications platforms; receive at a processor from the user, selected devices of the user with which to establish the electronic communication with the contact; transmit via one of the selected devices of the user, a second request to establish an electronic communication comprising real time audio data with the contact simultaneously via each of the plurality of the different electronic communications platforms using each respective contact identifier; receive via the communications device, an acceptance of the second request to establish an electronic communication with the contact via one of the plurality of different electronic communications platforms; and establish an electronic communication comprising real time audio data between the contact and the one of the selected devices of the user via the one of the plurality of different electronic communications platforms.

The method can also include applying a profile to the sensor data to determine whether to extend or truncate a duration that the incoming communication at the given communication endpoint. The profile may be learned based on the sensor data associated with one or more previous incoming communication being answered or not answered. The method further includes adapting the duration that the incoming communication is offered at the given communication endpoint based on the applied profile.
