摘要:
A voltage-controlled oscillator for frequency modulation includes an oscillator core with a tunable resonant circuit component which is driven with a control voltage. Furthermore, a modulator component is provided which is driven with a modulation signal for frequency modulation. The modulator component is additionally coupled to the terminal for supplying the control voltage. As a result, a constant modulation deviation can be achieved over the entire tuning range even in the case of oscillators having a large tuning range. The oscillator circuit is particularly suitable for use in transmitting circuits for digital communication.

In a structure adopted for an FM-CW radar, a corner waveguide for connecting each of transmission and reception antennas to a sensor unit is integrated with a sensor unit case. In a waveguide/strip line converter for converting the transmission mode between the waveguide and the strip lines in the circuits of the sensor unit, a ditch is dug in the inner wall of an opening of the waveguide in order to prevent oozing of conductive adhesive. The strip line board is abutted on the inner wall of the waveguide in order to restrict a length of a projecting portion of a line conductor on the strip line board. By employing an oscillator mixer or a multiplier mixer, the circuitry in the sensor unit can be simplified without using lots of expensive millimeter wave devices. Furthermore, power can be utilized effectively even when a switching radar is off, which enables measurement of an absolute speed. Moreover, cost reduction can be achieved.

A microwave frequency oscillator capable of being linearly swept over a wide frequency range around a central frequency comprising a field-effect transistor with a high gain, the output of which is fed back to the input from a coupler consisting of two relatively narrow striplines located close together. A wobbulator circuit is fitted in shunt to the feedback network comprises two voltage variable capacitors in series between three line components designed to optimize the frequency modulation linearity in relation to the voltage variable capacitance diode control voltage. The oscillator is useful in equipment requiring extreme linearity such as radio-altimeter sources.

Herein disclosed is an oscillator having a micro-strip line for acting as a resonance line. A frequency controlling variable capacitor is connected with one terminal of the micro-strip line and arranged such that it can be controlled by a voltage applied. An auxiliary micro-strip line has its one terminal connected at least in a high-frequency manner with the one terminal of the micro-strip line and its other terminal made connectable with the micro-strip line. A switch is provided for connecting the other terminal of said auxiliary strip line with said micro-strip line so that it may be turned on or off to switch the oscillation frequency in dependence upon whether or not the auxiliary resonance line is connected in parallel with the micro-strip line.

A modulatable oscillator for radio frequencies is disclosed in which the single resonant tank includes a tightly coupled varactor diode for wideband modulation and frequency control. Nonlinearities introduced by the varactor diode are compensated by predistortion of the modulated signal yielding a predetermined modulation characteristic which is maintained over temperature.

An oscillator arrangement is disclosed which is controllable in its frequency and which comprises a control input for frequency variation and a transformer output, whose frequency-determining oscillating circuit possesses, as a controllable reactive element, two varactor diodes which are connected in opposing fashion and whose capacitance largely represents the oscillating circuit capacitance. Two feedback oscillator circuits are combined to form a push-pull circuit in that the output terminals of the oscillator circuits are connected in respect of d.c. to a reference potential by way of a central tap of the primary winding of a common output transformer. In addition, the two varactor diodes are oppositely poled and interconnected in respect of d.c. by way of the opposite terminals of an oscillating circuit inductance and, at their opposite terminals, are each connected to respective bases of transistors of two oscillator circuits, the emitters of the transistors being connected together and by way of respective resistors to a power supply and the collectors being connected together by way of opposite terminals of the primary winding of the output transformer. In order to form the control input, the oscillating circuit inductance is provided with a central tap.
