摘要: An electrical combination. The combination comprises a hand held power tool, a battery pack and a controller. The battery pack includes a battery pack housing connectable to and supportable by the hand held power tool, a plurality of battery cells supported by the battery pack housing, each of the plurality of battery cells having a lithium-based chemistry, being individually tapped and having an individual state of charge. A communication path is provided by a battery pack sense terminal and a power tool sense terminal. The controller is operable to monitor a state of charge of a number of battery cells less than the plurality of battery cells and to generate a signal based on the monitored state of charge of the number of battery cells less than the plurality of battery cells, the signal being operable to control the operation of the hand held power tool.

摘要: A charging device may include firmware configured to execute and control charging functions and updating functions performed by the charging device. The firmware includes a first section configured to store instructions associated with the charging functions and a second section configured to store instructions associated with updating the first section. The charging device may also include a charging slot for insertion of one of a rechargeable device and an updating device. The charging device may further include a micro-controller configured to execute instructions stored on the firmware. Responsive to the updating device being inserted into the charging slot, the charging device executes instructions stored in the second section to enter an updating mode and update the firmware.

摘要: The embodiments herein provide an energy storage battery system constituting multiple banks of individual batteries, each of which may have different characteristics, and methods of operation of the system. The multiple battery banks configuration is based on split battery configuration derived by a splitter based on a probability distribution function (pdf) of expected usage pattern, optimization goal, and battery characteristics of a corresponding single battery system. The energy system optimizes at least one of cost, weight or size of the overall system by rotating usage of various battery banks based on usage pattern.

摘要: A mobile energy system (MES) can absorb, temporarily store and restore electric energy through connection to the house network. The energy can furthermore be released at the location of charging, at other locations or while driving. This offers the possibility of operating stationary or mobile quick charging stations also at locations which permit only small power output. By coupling the systems via a cloud, functions of a virtual power station can be performed.
