摘要: An intelligent switch device and a power generation system are provided. The intelligent switch device includes a first power port, a second power port, a switch unit and a control unit. A first end of a switch unit is connected to a first power supply via a first power port, and a second end of the switch unit is connected to a second power supply via a second power port. The control unit is configured to control the switch unit to be turned on for a first time period when the first power supply is in abnormal condition, where the abnormal condition causes the switch unit to be tripped. The first time period is greater than or equal to a time period required for a device to respond to the abnormal condition.

摘要: A reconfigurable network for interconnecting tools in a bottom hole assembly is disclosed. The network includes nodes that have reconfigurable switches that can be configured to provide a conductive path for the bus through the node, connect a terminator to the bus, and/or connect a tool to the bus. The exact configuration (i.e., states) of the switches in each node may be automatically selected based on a detected fault in a tool attached to a node and/or the state of other switches in the node or/a specific request is received. Various node embodiments and a method and circuit for automatically disconnecting a tool from the network in response to a tool fault are further disclosed.

摘要: A method and a device for supplying energy to a low-voltage load using an electronic power supply device. The method involves: a) setting the power supply device to be able to provide an output current to the low-voltage load up to a specified peak current value upon demand; b) monitoring the output current (IL) provided to the low-voltage load by the electronic power supply device to detect an increase of IL over a threshold (IN) which is lower than the peak current value, c) if an increase of IL to an increased output current value higher than IN is detected, detecting the increased IL value and ascertaining an output current pulse duration (tPulse) based on the increased current value; d) providing IL at the level of the increased current value for the duration of the ascertained tPulse; and e) providing the IL at the level of IN after tPulse has expired.

摘要: Embodiments described herein provide short circuit detection capabilities for current drivers. One embodiment includes a controller and a current driver. The current driver includes a power switch circuit that couples a supply rail to a high side of a load in response to receiving a drive signal. The current driver further includes a continuity circuit that couples the supply rail to the high side and indicates to the controller whether a first current flow to the high side exceeds a first threshold. The current driver further includes a current sense circuit that couples a low side of the load to ground and indicates to the controller whether a second current flow from the low side exceeds a second threshold. The controller identifies, based on the first current flow, the second current flow, and the drive signal, a plurality of short circuit conditions that may exist at the current driver.

摘要: A protection feature is disclosed for a self powered protection relay having, for example, sensitive earth fault protection. Protection can be achieved in tandem with optimal power on trip time and with integrated logic for inrush discrimination. The self supplied protection relay can include a current processing module to measure and evaluate line current to generate a trip signal, and to suppress inrush current to block earth fault detection during an inrush condition and thereby increase sensitivity of fault detection.

摘要: Systems and methods for protecting an electrical component in an alternating current system that includes a transformer are disclosed. In one aspect, a circuit includes a switch assembly connected between a transformer neutral of a transformer and a ground and having an open position and a closed position. In normal operation, the switch remains in a closed position. The circuit further includes a DC blocking component positioned in parallel with the switch assembly and connected between the transformer neutral and the ground, a voltage probe connected between the transformer neutral and ground and configured to monitor an instantaneous voltage level at the transformer neutral, and a control circuit configured to control the switch assembly, the control circuit including a sensor configured to actuate the switch assembly to an open position at least upon detection of a harmonic signal in at least one phase of the transformer or a predetermined threshold of DC or quasi DC current between the transformer neutral and the ground.

摘要: A protection relay is disclosed that generates a trip signal to operate a circuit breaker in case of a fault condition. A first module provides measurement and analysis of power parameters of the power line connecting the power equipment that is being protected, the protection being provided by generating a first trip signal for operating a circuit breaker connected in the power line. One or more second modules can boost performance of the protection relay by measurement and analysis of power parameters-to generate a second trip signal for operating a circuit breaker connected in the power line. The first trip signal and the second trip signal are logically combined to generate a trip signal that operates the circuit breaker.

摘要: A motor driving apparatus capable of detecting during operation a ground fault and a phase-to-phase short circuit by distinguishing one from the other is provided while minimizing an increase in cost. The sum of three-phase AC currents supplied from a three-phase AC power supply to an AC/DC converter is detected by a current sensor. When overcurrent is detected by an overcurrent detector, if the sum of the currents detected by the current sensor is zero, it is determined that the fault is a phase-to-phase short circuit, but if the sum is not zero, it is determined that the fault is a ground fault.

摘要: A composite electric circuit breaker, and method thereof, is configured to detect signals regarding arc faults, overcurrent, and earth leakage. Arcs and electric currents are detected by a current transformer and earth leakage is detected by a zero phase current transformer. A variation of electric current, the number of arcs which are generated per a unit time, a present electric current value, and electric current earth leakage are combined to judge whether arc faults occur to then interrupt an electric power supply. Temperature is measured on a printed circuit board, and if temperature rise occurs, the electric power supply is interrupted, and an interruption cause is displayed. Electric accidents and occurrence of fires are prevented simultaneously and more accurately. The interruption causes can be confirmed, analyzed and externally monitored through a network, to thus maximize efficiency of electric management.
