摘要: A method and fluid antenna apparatus are disclosed that incorporate optical agitation of electrolytes. The fluid antenna comprises a substantially enclosed container having a transparent window, an electrolytic fluid disposed within the substantially enclosed container, a light source, the light source producing an optical beam, wherein the light source is configured to direct the optical beam into the container; wherein the transparent window is configured to receive the optical beam from the light source; and wherein the beam has sufficient intensity to enable movement of charged particles in the electrolytic fluid in the container via radiation pressure.

摘要: A telescoping barrier assembly provides interlocking modules coupled together so as to slide vertically with respect to the other. The modules telescopically extend to a deployed position to form a barrier that withstands inertial and the external forces, and then retracts to a collapsed position. The modules include a base module and a plurality of deployable modules that are arranged in a nested configuration, such that each module slides in and out of an adjacent module. The base module has a mounting portion that may be subterranean. A lifting mechanism applies an axial force to the deployable modules to enable displacement between the operational and collapsed position. Spring biased lateral support members help the deployable modules remain in the extended position and a pulley system helps displace the modules to the collapsed position. An inner and outer seal inhibit liquid leakage between the module and between multiple adjacent assemblies.

摘要: Various embodiments of an antenna device for a wireless terminal are disclosed. The antenna device includes a radiator configured to be extracted from/retracted into the wireless terminal, a L-C lumped circuit, and a noise removing coil coupled between the radiator and the L-C lumped circuit, to attenuate noise introduced through the radiator. The radiator may be configured as a helical coil or at least one meandering printed pattern so as to reduce its overall length while maintaining a desired electrical length. In embodiments, the antenna device is useful for UHF/VHF frequency bands. Multi-band configurations are disclosed. In one embodiment, a stainless steel tube member substantially surrounds a helical coil, and the tube member operates at a lower frequency band than the helical coil.

摘要: A monitoring beacon which includes a ground base into which a telescopic mast is inserted. An intrusion detection and identification head is mounted on one end of said mast. The beacon also has solar panel support structures mounted pivotably on the ground base. During transport, the panel support structures are raised to form a protective cage around the beacon, while during use, the panel support structures are folded down flat around the base so that the mast and its detection head are no longer enclosed.

摘要: An antenna apparatus that has a base and an antenna element with a balanced RF output, which receives RF signals within a first band of frequencies. The apparatus includes a mount engaged with the base that rotatably supports the antenna about an axis of rotation. The apparatus has a balun with a balanced RF input and an unbalanced RF output. A feed line is coupled between the balanced RF output and the balanced RF input. The feed line includes two electrical conductors that have a predetermined length and that are aligned substantially in parallel, and supportively spaced apart a predetermined distance by plural insulators. The feed line is further arranged to maintain the predetermined distance between the two electrical conductors as the antenna element rotates with respect to the base. The predetermined length and the predetermined distance are selected to yield a narrow range of impedances within the first band of frequencies as measured at the unbalanced RF output of the balun, which enables efficient coupling of the RF signals from the unbalanced RF output of the balun.

摘要: A system and a method are disclosed for stabilization of a mast (3) on a moving carrier, for example a vehicle. An actuator device (6′) is connected to the mast and allows the mast (3) to pivot with its longitudinal direction relative to the carrier (2), about at least one pivoting axis. A mast sensor device determines the position of the mast (3) relative to a predetermined absolute spatial direction, and supplies this to an electronic control device, which compares the position of the mast with a predetermined set value and derives a manipulated variable for the actuator device from this, in order to stabilize the longitudinal direction of the mast. A securing device (7) blocks the mast if a predetermined acceleration value is exceeded.
