摘要: A porous reduced silica fiber material has a diameter of about 0.1 to about 20 microns and a surface area of about 5 m2/g to about 400 m2/g. The porous reduced fiber material may be used to form an electrode having a high capacity and improved cycle life over comparable commercial silicon electrodes.

摘要: Nanohybrid composites, methods of making nanohybrid composites, and uses of nanohybrid composites. A nanohybrid composite may be a binary nanohybrid composite comprising MXene and dual-phase MoS2. A nanohybrid composite may be a ternary nanohybrid composite comprising MXene, dual-phase MoS2, and a plurality of carbon nanotubes. A nanohybrid composite may be made by a method comprising contacting a liquid or liquid(s), a MXene or MXenes, a sulfur precursor or sulfur precursors, a molybdenum precursor or molybdenum precursors, optionally, an ammonium precursor or ammonium precursors, and, optionally, carbon nanotubes to form a reaction mixture; heating the reaction mixture, where the nanohybrid composite is formed. Anodes may comprise one or more nanohybrid composite(s). Devices, such as, for example, batteries or the like, may comprise one or more anode(s) comprising one or more nanohybrid composite(s) and/or one or more nanohybrid composite(s).

摘要: A proton conduction fuel cell has an anode support made of metal having a fuel flow channel, an anode comprising an anode active material in contact with the anode support, a cathode support made of metal having a cathode gas flow channel, a cathode comprising a cathode active material in contact with the cathode support, and an electrolyte layer. The electrolyte layer comprises a first layer of electrolyte formed in a lock pattern on the anode and a second layer of the electrolyte formed in a key pattern on the cathode. The second layer fits in the lock pattern of the first layer to form the electrolyte layer.

摘要: Flow cell batteries and methods of producing an electric current are provided. In some implementations, a flow cell battery includes an electrochemical cell including an ion exchange membrane, an anode current collector, and a cathode current collector. The space between the ion exchange membrane and the anode current collector forms a first channel and the space between the ion exchange membrane and the cathode current collector forms a second channel. The ion exchange membrane is configured to allow ions to pass between the first and second channel. The battery includes a first tank configured to flow an anolyte through the first channel, wherein the anolyte is hydrogen gas. The battery includes a second tank configured to flow a catholyte through the second channel, wherein the catholyte is a compound that can be reversibly hydrogenated and dehydrogenated. The flow cell battery can be used to generate electric current.
