The transformer comprises a primary winding and a secondary winding, and a coolant line partly or completely embedded in at least one of the primary or secondary windings. The coolant line is supplied with coolant from a supply device. The coolant line has a plurality of exit holes that are arranged to lead in a direction of at least one of the primary or secondary winding, so as to supply it with coolant.
