Abstract: An apparatus for a coaxial transmission line is provided. The apparatus can include a dielectric member having an inner surface defining a bore along a longitudinal axis of an inner conductor of the coaxial transmission line; and a first conductive member mounted axially around the dielectric member and extending along the longitudinal axis. A cross-section of an outer surface of the first conductive member can define a first perimeter. A cross-section of an inner surface of the outer conductor of the coaxial transmission line can define a second perimeter. The first perimeter can be smaller than the second perimeter and thereby provide clearance between a portion of the outer surface of the first conductive member and the inner surface of the outer conductor of the coaxial transmission line when the apparatus is positioned in an annulus defined by the inner conductor and the outer conductor of the coaxial transmission line.

Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at a vehicle and a camera having a CMOS imaging sensor operable to capture image data. Image data captured by the camera is conveyed from the camera to the ECU via a 50 ohm coaxial cable. The camera is in bidirectional communication with the ECU over the 50 ohm coaxial cable. The 50 ohm coaxial cable commonly carries (i) image data captured by the camera for processing at a data processor of the ECU and (ii) power from a DC power supply of the ECU to the camera. Image data captured by the camera is serialized at a data serializer of the camera and is conveyed to the ECU via the 50 ohm coaxial cable and is deserialized at the ECU by a data deserializer of the ECU.

Abstract: Flexible cables may include multiple power, ground, and signal traces, and include EM interference suppression devices within the cable itself. Signal traces may be shielded by ground traces. The body of a cable may be divided into lateral portions through which different types of traces extend. One lateral side of a cable body may include a stack of power traces, while another lateral side of the cable body may include ground and signal traces. EBG patterns may be incorporated into ground traces. Capacitors may be positioned within the cable along its length, mounted between power and ground traces, for decoupling.

Abstract: A vision system for a vehicle includes a plurality of imaging sensors disposed at the vehicle and having respective exterior fields of view, with each of the imaging sensors capturing image data. The imaging sensors are connected to a control via respective ones of a plurality of single core coaxial cables. Each single core coaxial cable commonly carries (i) image data from the respective imaging sensor, (ii) power to the respective imaging sensor and (iii) communication data. Each of the imaging sensors is operable to transmit calibration data to the control. Each of the imaging sensors transmits calibration data when the respective imaging sensor is triggered to transmit calibration data. The vision system, responsive to receipt of calibration data by the control, is operable to identify the respective one of the imaging sensors transmitting the received calibration data.

Abstract: A cable assembly including a cable, a metal clamp, and a tuboid metal case. The cable includes a outer insulator and a outer conductor thereinside. The outer conductor includes a protruding portion protruding to one side in the first direction from an end portion of the outer insulator on the one side in the first direction. The clamp holds the protruding portion and includes an end portion on the other side in the first direction. The metal case includes a swaged portion, which houses at least the end portion of the outer insulator and the end portion of the clamp. Swaged from outside, the swaged portion is in pressure contact with and fixed to at least the end portion of the outer insulator and the end portion of the clamp so that the end portion of the outer insulator is elastically deformed and the end portion of the clamp is plastically deformed.
