    摘要: A process for obtaining a sample from an atmosphere in a closed gastight vessel, preferably from a reactor safety vessel of a nuclear power station, includes passing a sample through a venturi nozzle immediately upon entry of the sample into a sample-taking container in a vessel. The sample is mixed in the venturi nozzle with a transport fluid serving as a washing liquid. Gaseous constituents of the sample being soluble and/or condensable in the washing liquid are subsequently discharged together with the washing liquid from the sample-taking container and from the vessel by triggering a pressure reduction. A device for obtaining samples from an atmosphere in a closed gastight vessel, preferably from a reactor safety vessel of a nuclear power station, includes a sample-taking container having a bottom and a given volume. A washing liquid is disposed in the sample-taking container and has a volume being at most approximately equal to half of the given volume. A venturi nozzle dips into the washing liquid in the sample-taking container above the bottom. An inlet channel leads into the sample-taking container below the venturi nozzle.

    摘要: An emission monitoring system for a venting system of a nuclear power plant is configured for low consumption of energy while having high reliability of measurement results. The emission monitoring system has a pressure relief line connected to a containment and contains a high-pressure section, a low-pressure section, and a sampling line, which, on the inlet side, opens into the low-pressure section of the pressure relief line and is guided from there to a functional path through which steam flows. An ejector containing a pump fluid connector, a suction connector and an outlet connector is provided. A pump fluid feed line has an inlet side opening into the high-pressure section of the pressure relief line and is guided from there to the ejector and connected to the pump fluid connector. A sample return line is guided from the functional path to the ejector and connected to the suction connector.

    摘要: A spark spectroscopic high-pressure gas analyzer including a spark chamber, having a pair of electrodes, for receiving a sample of the pressurized gas to be analyzed. A voltage is provided across the electrodes for generating a spark in the pressurized gas sample. A selected wavelength band of radiation emitted from the spark discharge in the pressurized gas corresponding to a component to be sensed in the gas is detected. The intensity of the emission in the wavelength band is integrated during the afterglow time interval of the spark emission and a signal representative of the integrated intensity of the emission in the selected narrow wavelength band is employed to determine the proportion of the component in the gas.

    摘要: Apparatus is disclosed for detecting nuclear fuel leaks within nuclear power system reactors, such as high temperature gas cooled reactors. The apparatus includes a probe assembly that is inserted into the high temperature reactor coolant gaseous stream. The probe has an aperture adapted to communicate gaseous fluid between its inside and outside surfaces and also contains an inner tube for sampling gaseous fluid present near the aperture. A high pressure supply of noncontaminated gas is provided to selectively balance the pressure of the stream being sampled to prevent gas from entering the probe through the aperture. The apparatus includes valves that are operable to cause various directional flows and pressures, which valves are located outside of the reactor walls to permit maintenance work and the like to be performed without shutting down the reactor.

The releasing of the material may be effected by causing a gas canister to be pierced as a result of the movement. The presence of the tracer material in the coolant is detected by the coolant monitoring system.
