Abstract: Electronic device that allows controlling the route followed by an audio signal from one or more Audio Signal Input Sources through 2 or more Effects Units which modify said signal, and said signal is delivered to 1 or more Outputs, which allows selecting from which input the audio signal is originated, through which effects units is passed, in what order it does so, and to which outputs it is delivered, through a matrix of high-speed signal switching devices (analog or digital) with features of an audio signal that interconnects all possible combinations of Inputs and Outputs between ports to which Audio Signal Input Sources, External Effects Units and Outputs are connected, which is controlled by a digital device that allows the activation of the possible combinations at the User's choice; It further allows storing the desired combinations in a memory unit to be later retrieved and activated, through various embodiments of use such as the direct manipulation of the Device with physical controls, through an application within external wireless devices and/or compatible with MIDI.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an active noise cancellation system. The system includes a first controller, a data bus, and a second controller. The first controller receives first information from a plurality of noise sensing devices and second information from an audio system. The first controller employs a time division multiplexing scheme to generate a multiplexed stream of data including the first information and the second information. The data bus transmits the multiplexed stream of data on a single data channel. The second controller receives the multiplexed stream of data on the single data channel and separates the first information from the second information on the multiplexed stream of data to perform ANC functionality.

Abstract: A headphone including a circumaural or supra-aural ear cup having an ear cup housing wall which forms an interior chamber within the ear cup. A transducer is positioned within the interior chamber for producing an acoustic output to a user and an active noise control assembly positioned within the interior chamber. The active noise control assembly including a reference microphone, the reference microphone is acoustically coupled to a plurality of reference input ports spaced around the ear cup housing wall such that a sound input from each of the different spacial locations around the ear cup housing wall is received by the reference microphone and acoustically summed to provide a reference audio signal indicative of the sound input at the different spacial locations. The headphone further including a processing circuit operable to generate an anti-noise signal from the reference audio signal.

Abstract: The present invention provides an electronic helmet for cancelling noises, which comprises a helmet including a plurality of microphones, a plurality of speakers and a first communication unit; and a mobile device including a second communication unit and a control unit. When the first communication unit in the helmet connects to the second communication unit in the mobile device, the control unit generates a plurality of control signals according to at least one sound or noise detected by the plurality of microphones. The mobile device uses the plurality of control signals to control the plurality of speakers outputting the at least one sound or anti-noise cancelling the noise. By the above electronic helmet, the present invention also provides a method integrating active noise control, hands-free communication, music listening, and voice navigation so as to achieve the proposes of cancelling the noises and improving the riding quality.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and methods are described for reducing undesired leakage energy produced by a non-front-facing speaker in a multi-speaker system. For example, the multi-speaker system can include an array of forward-facing speakers, one or more upward-facing speakers, and/or one or more side-facing speakers. Filters coupled to any two of the speakers in the multi-speaker system can generate audio signals output by the coupled speakers to reduce, attenuate, or cancel a portion of an audio signal output by one or more non-front-facing speakers that acoustically propagates along a direct path from the respective non-front-facing speaker to a listening position in a listening area in front of the multi-speaker system.

Abstract: A planar element is provided for the active compensation of noise from different directions in an interior room. The planar element is equipped with anti-noise modules, each having a microphone and an electronic circuit having a combination of filters for adjusting phase and amplitude and an electronically controllable amplifier and a loudspeaker for active noise cancellation. The planar element is equipped over the width thereof with a plurality of anti-noise modules on each of a plurality of different longitudinally extending lines and is to be placed, for example, in front of a window having bounding walls. The anti-noise modules can be inconspicuously integrated into the planar element and jointly form longitudinally extending chains of anti-noise modules. The loudspeakers emit a canceling sound with respect to the noise, which canceling sound first passes through the planar element and subsequently largely cancels the noise.
