    摘要: An audio apparatus is suitable for generating crowd sounds from an audio signal is disclosed in which the apparatus comprises modulation means operable to modulate a noise signal in response to the audio signal to generate a modulated noise signal, and diffusion delay means. The diffusion delay means is operable to apply a series of two or more delay operations, the input signal to a first such delay operation in the series being the modulated noise signal, and input to each subsequent delay operation in the series being the output signal generated by a preceding delay operation. Each delay operation comprises modifying that operation's input signal by the addition of a delayed version of that operation's input signal.

    摘要: There is provided a music accompaniment apparatus that is connected to at least one external device to reproduce an audio or video signal, the music accompaniment apparatus including: an audio input section for inputting an external audio signal; an audio signal processing section for processing an audio signal including an accompaniment signal internally provided and an external audio signal input through the audio input section, and externally outputting the processed audio signal; a video signal processing section for processing a video signal including a caption signal, and externally outputting the processed video signal; a time delay calculating section for calculating the difference between a transmission time of a check signal to the at least one external device and a reception time of the check signal from the at least one external device to compute a time delay representing a delay of the audio or video signal for the at least one external device; and a control section for controlling the whole operation of the music accompaniment apparatus including generation and transmission/reception of the check signal, and controlling the transmission time of the video or audio signal in correspondence to the time delay. The present invention guarantees an efficient use of a digital device having a time delay as connected to the music accompaniment apparatus.

    摘要: Resonators generate resonance sound data of given resonant frequencies based on sound signal data corresponding to a pitch of a key. Each resonator includes a delay circuit which delays an input based on delay time data, a second adder which adds an output from the delay circuit to input sound signal data, and a low-pass filter which performs filtering depending on a filter control signal on the output from the second adder. An output from the low-pass filter is input to the delay circuit, and a first adder adds outputs from the resonators. A storage device stores a coefficient table containing items of delay time data to be provided to the resonators, and the items of the delay time data do not match with frequencies corresponding to pitches of keys.

    摘要: A delay line circuit and method to delay digital data in a main memory is provided. The delay line circuit may comprise primary delay line cache, secondary delay line cache, and a cache controller to control communication of data between the secondary delay cache and the primary delay cache. The primary delay line cache may receive digital data to be delayed from a signal processor module, and secondary delay line cache may be connected to the primary delay line cache and the main memory to send data to and receive delayed data from the main memory. Data in the secondary delay line cache may be updated with data from the main memory or with data from the primary delay line cache. The invention extends to a machine-readable medium comprising a set of instructions for executing any of the methods described herein.

    摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for producing a vibrato effect in acoustic signals, particularly for electronic organs, in which the output signals are obtained by successively scanning a plurality of points of a delay line fed by the acoustic signals. The apparatus includes a scanning matrix having a field of first inputs each connected to one of the points to be scanned, a field of second inputs to each of which a scanning impulse can be successively fed by a scanning impulse generator, and a linking circuit associated with each pair of second inputs, which linking circuits, upon the occurrence of a scanning impulse at the second input, transmit the acoustic signal of the associated first input to a common output, the scanning impulse generator producing impulses of a shape in which the rising and falling flanks are in the form of transition sections extending over a predetermined period, each linking circuit comprising a control stage which is controlled by the scanning impulse and influences the amplitude of the acoustic signal fed to the output. The individual points of the delay line are scanned electronically by means of the scanning matrix. The scanning impulses not only serve to select the desired point but also for gradually blending in and out the acoustic signal at the selected point. Consequently, one obtains a complex vibrato which is pleasant to listen to, without superpositioning background noise caused by the switching frequency.

    摘要: A device for electrically modifying a musical tone by frequency modulation to provide effects such as the vibrato effect and the Leslie effect on the musical tone signal. The device employs a shift register through which electrical representations of the magnitude of an input signal are periodically sampled, stored, and shifted progressively through a shift register from the input to the output of the device which delays the signal. The trigger pulses which time the sampling and shifting functions of the device are frequency modulated to vary the time delay imposed, thus effecting a frequency modulation of the delayed input tone at the output of the device. In one embodiment, a digital shift register is employed which stores a digital representation of the magnitude of the signal and is connected between an analog-todigital convertor at the input of the device and a digital-toanalog converter at the output of the device. Alternatively, a bucket-brigade type analog shift register is employed which directly stores discrete analog representations of sampled input values and shifts them progressively toward the output. Plural channel devices are provided wherein the time delays are modified differently so that when the outputs of the channel are combined, an enhanced effect is provided. In a two channel device, opposite phase relationships of the modulated trigger pulse signals provide a more realistic vibrato effect.
