摘要： A method to generate a contact list may include receiving an identifier of a first communication device at a captioning system. The first communication device may be configured to provide first audio data to a second communication device. The second communication device may be configured to receive first text data of the first audio data from the captioning system. The method may further include receiving and storing contact data from each of multiple communication devices at the captioning system. The method may further include selecting the contact data from the multiple communication devices that include the identifier of the first communication device as selected contact data and generating a contact list based on the selected contact data. The method may also include sending the contact list to the first communication device to provide the contact list as contacts for presentation on an electronic display of the first communication device.

摘要： A system and method for producing intents for both operating systems and software application programs in service provider computing systems, extended with sign language support, are disclosed. An intent represents an action that, when executed by a computing system, may fulfill a user's request or goal. According to the present invention, an intent is a preferred extension to predefined commands as well as application programming interfaces (APIs) to integrate natural language processing (NLP) both in operating systems and software application programs. In the invention an intent is concept-driven and domain-independent, and facilitates user collaboration in natural language while providing an inclusive actionable insights framework capable of support that also provides for users with communication challenges not limited to the auditory-impaired or deaf.

摘要： Systems and methods for doing presenting an avatar that speaks sign language based on sentiment of a speaker is disclosed herein. A translation application running on a device receives a content item comprising a video and an audio, wherein the audio comprises a first plurality of spoken words in a first language. The video comprises a character speaking the first plurality of spoken words in the first language. The translation application translates the first plurality of spoken words of the first language into a first sign of a first sign language. The translation application determines an emotional state expressed by the character based on sentiment analysis. The translation application generates an avatar that speaks the first sign of the first sign language where the avatar exhibits the determined emotional state. The content item and the avatar are presented for display on the device.

摘要： An environment-transforming system transforms a user's environmental information in ways that allow the user to better perceive her environment. For example, the system transforms some aspects of a visual scene into a sound space for a visually impaired user. Once the user learns to interpret the sound space, she avoids walking into an object because a sound cue tells her that the object is in her near environment and roughly where it is. Various types of transformations are possible depending upon the user's needs and preferences. As all people are different, each user has a personalized profile that directs the transformation process. More generally, the environment to be transformed may include aspects of artificial or enhanced reality. The transformed environmental information can be presented to the user in a number of ways, such as in haptic feedback, as directional audio, through oral stimulation, or through modified visual display.
