    摘要: A binaural listening system comprises first and second listening devices adapted for being located at or in left and right ears, respectively, of a user, the binaural listening system being adapted for receiving a wirelessly transmitted signal comprising a target signal and an acoustically propagated signal comprising the target signal as modified by respective first and second acoustic propagation paths from an audio source to the first and second listening devices. Spatial information is provided to an audio signal streamed to a pair of listening devices of a binaural listening system. The first and second listening devices each comprise an alignment unit for aligning the first and second streamed target audio signals with the first and second propagated electric signals in the first and second listening devices, respectively, to provide first and second aligned streamed target audio signals in the first and second listening devices, respectively.

    摘要: Apparatuses, systems, and a method provide for a visual display of speech, such as the visual display of a received audio signal in telecommunications, especially useful for the hearing impaired. The preferred apparatus includes a network interface that is coupleable to a first communication channel to receive an audio signal; a radio frequency (RF) modulator to convert a baseband output video signal to a RF output video signal and to transmit the RF output video signal on a second communication channel for video display; and a processor coupled to the network interface and to the RF modulator for running a set of program instructions to convert the received audio signal to a text representation of speech, and to further convert the text to the baseband output video signal. The RF output video signal, when displayed on a video display, provides the visual display of speech. The preferred apparatus may also include a speech generation subsystem.

By means of keys (2), a code corresponding to one character is formed at a time, which code is converted by the device into an electric signal. The electric signals can be stored in a tape recorder (15), transmitted via a modem (6) into the telecommunication network, or be converted by means of a typewriter (4) into inkprint. Correspondingly, electric signals coming from these peripheral devices can be coded as a mark on feeling keys (3). The device is above all intended as means of conversation and study for deaf-blind persons.

A plurality of three-dimensional, actual size cast or molded figures of the human hand mounted on a base and each formed in a respective letter of the manual alphabet comprise an instructional kit for teaching the manual alphabet. Each hand figure is provided thereon with embossments of the Braille character and, preferably, the English alphabet letter corresponding to the manual alphabet letter represented by such figure. Another embodiment comprises statues or figures of human beings depicted in various poses communicating with each other by sign language with Braille characters and English alphabet letters affixed on the pedestal of the statues.

The AAC device includes a main body having a board shape in which an indicator connector protrudes from a front center portion; a communication display board attached to a front surface of the main body and including a plurality of symbols attached in a radial shape; an indicator rotatably connected to the indicator connector to indicate the corresponding symbols according to a user indication; and a controller installed in a lower portion of the main body, receiving an input signal from the user, and controlling the operation of the indicator.
