摘要: A method of classifying terrain, terrain activity and materials through panchromatic imagery a module programmed to provide such classification and aerospace vehicles comprising such module is provided. Panchromatic images of known materials terrains and terrain activities are taken and processed to form a multiband texture cube, that due it amount of data, is stored as a computer data base. New panchromatic images of unclassified materials, terrains and/or terrain activities are processed and compared via computer with such database that allows for inexpensive, quick and efficient classification of such new images.

摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for generating or processing an image signal. A first image property pixel structure is a two-dimensional non-rectangular pixel structure representing a surface of a view sphere for the viewpoint. A second image property pixel structure is a two-dimensional rectangular pixel structure and is generated by a processor (305) to have a central region derived from a central region of the first image property pixel structure and at least a first corner region derived from a first border region of the first image property pixel structure. The first border region is a region proximal to one of an upper border and a lower border of the first image property pixel structure. The image signal is generated to include the second image property pixel structure and the image signal may be processed by a receiver to recover the first image property pixel structure.

摘要: A vehicle includes a system that performs a method for aligning a first camera and a second camera to a reference frame of the vehicle. The first camera has a first coordinate system, and the second camera has a second coordinate system. The first camera obtains a first image. The processor is configured to obtain a first camera-to-ground transformation matrix for the first camera using the first image, wherein the first camera-to-ground transformation matrix relates the first coordinate system to a ground coordinate system, obtain a camera-to-camera transformation matrix between the first coordinate system of the first camera and the second coordinate system of the second camera, calculate a constructed camera-to-ground transformation matrix for the second camera using the first camera-to-ground transformation matrix and the camera-to-camera transformation matrix, and update the second coordinate system of the second camera using the constructed camera-to-ground transformation.

摘要: Media, systems, and methods for reducing latency in a head-mounted display for the remote operation of machinery. A remote camera sends raw video to a graphics processing unit which processes the video and transmits the updated video to a head-mounted display with limited latency such that the control of remote devices may be improved. The image may be spherically rendered and projected onto the head-mounted display with a rectangular view. The graphics processing unit may determine a rotation matrix based on a pose of the remote camera and a pose of the head-mounted display, and the image may be projected based on the rotation matrix.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for blending unknown pixels in overlapping images. In one embodiment, an action camera captures two hyper-hemispherical fisheye images that are stitched to a 360° panorama. In order to remove exposure differences between the two cameras, the images are pre-processed prior to multiband blending. The pre-processing leverages image information from pixels to make informed guesses about pixels that were not captured. In particular, various pixels with different knowability (e.g., known, unknown, consistent, and conflicting) may be handled differently so as to emphasize/de-emphasize their importance in pre-processing.
